This shipping Plaza seems to have it's ups and downs. Personally I find it convenient to run to Harbor Freight for a needed tool or tarp or paint brush. You can't beat the prices and when I first went here i thought at this price this is going to break after a week or 2. In actuality, I've never had a tool from here that did break or malfunction. This was a pleasant surprise. You won't get project ideas like you do at Home Depot but you do pay a lot less and the store is small enough that you can be in and out in 5 minutes. Big Lots is great for times i need things like paper towel or Windex and don't feel like a Costco Trip. I also like Big Lots order on line and pick up in store. They also have reasonably priced dog toys and personal hygiene items. Lastly I wrote a review of Fancy Fruit last week. That is also convenient for an item i need for a recipe or something that was out of stock or to expensive at Publix. I've never been to Debbie's Bar but they are ALWAYS busy so that's gotta mean they are doing something right. Lastly I've noticed a few new places. A ceviche restaurant and I think another restaurant was about to open and a new laundromat. The parking lot is very very large and it's usually clean. My complaints would be there is nothing exciting here. It looks dated and drab and there are often a lot of homeless hanging out on the bench between Big Lots and Fancy Fruit and also behind 7-11. Also the building in front that was a Smokey Bones had sat mostly empty now for over 2 years and it's starting to look really worn down and an eyesore. It also attracts the homeless on the bench in front which is covered by a large overhang so it offers cover from the Florida Sun and rain. I think people would be more inclined to visit this plaza if it were cleaned up visually. Take care of the vacant restaurant in front. Invest in some landscaping in front so it does not look like a huge black top parking lot. A little investment in this plaza would go a long way in keeping it leased and in making it appealing to cars driving by that busy busy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMarket Square on Semoran Boulevard in Casselberry is an older shopping plaza, with most stores on their second or third iteration. During the 20 years Iāve lived in the area the plaza has been moderately maintained, but has seen a revival in the past several years. Thereās a large āFresh Produceā store which looks to be worth a trip inside. Next to that thereās a reeeeaaally nice Big Lots with immaculately organized and maintained inventory, as well as excellent customer service. A couple doors down is a naaasty & unfriendly Dollar Store I need not ever shop in again. Beyond that thereās a HUGE thrift shop, a second hand book store, a Mexican Restaurant, a Tool and Freight store and more. Market Square is also across the street from Steinmart, Ross, Beallās Outlet and Publix and a few blocks away from a Walmart Superstore.
Bottom Line? The plaza is old, not too well maintained and, frankly, I wouldnāt go there alone at night. That said, the merchants are accommodating, inventory current, staff helpful, and goods and...
