I had a horrible experience at TJ Maxx today. One of the items I was purchasing did not have a price tag on it so the lady that was helping me in the dressing room told me to find a like item and bring it to the register when I am ready to check out, So they can match the price. The skirt I found was cotton plain black. (Only color of the skirt) I finally get to the register with an entire shopping cart full of stuff. Of course the cashier had to call a manager to help her which is very understandable. The manager was very annoyed first of all to even have to help the cashier. He grabbed the skirt from her and said he had to go back on the floor to find the same skirt. Finally he came back about 10 minutes later with a green skirt made out of a completely different material with a belt, and very beautiful ruffles on the bottom. Keep in mind he didn’t even even talk to me after he got back. He went directly to the price gun put a random price on, which was not fair for the skirt that I did end up buying. Derick had no customer service skills and didn’t even have the decency to talk to me before he decided this price. After he handed the cashier the skirt with the new pricing on it, I asked him how he came up with the pricing, I said the skirt your comparing my black skirt to is a green skirt with flowers and a belt and ruffles and the pricing makes no sense. He told me he couldn’t give me the price of the like skirt that I brought to the register because the skirt I was comparing it to was from the juniors department. As we continue to go back-and-forth, I told him I didn’t agree with the price and he wasn’t comparing like items. He didn’t care one bit. I asked him his name before I left, and he mumbled it and then covered his name tag. I asked the cashier his name again before I left and she said his name was Derrick and he was the manager there. Regardless, I’m very disappointed in TJ Maxx for hiring such a unprofessional, disrespectful, employee with no customer service skills. The way he made me feel in front of all the other employees and customers was very degrading. Please make sure if you go to TJ Maxx/Home Goods, you don’t have to deal with the manager named Derrick. I probably shop there 2 days a week and to be treated that way was awful and, makes me not want to go back. (The picture I took was him walking away from me after he didn’t want to continue the...
Read moreT.J. Maxx & HomeGoods are very near and dear to my heart for several reasons. I would like to share something not many people know about this stellar business. One of my closest friends, daughters, husband is retired from the TJX Corporation. My dear friend and his two daughters took a trip to Paris. Then 9/11 happened. All air travel was halted thru out the USA. I received a panic call from my friends wife, she explained she couldn't track down her husband. Then explained that in one hour my friend and his daughters were going to be picked up, taken to the airport, then flown into Canada. She knew I would find him as I did. See TJX had lost over twenty employees and many others were in Europe. TJX wanted everyone home. So they hired a private 747 plane, complete with five star chefs, employees were treated to anything they wanted to eat. This plane had a bedroom with a king size bed. The cost over, seven hundred thousand dollars........ So a business who puts their employees over money has me as a customer forever.
They have higher end products for fabulous prices. Last year I bought three cashmere sweaters each one $35.00. Even when Target has cashmere sweaters their at a higher price. The T.J. Maxx&HomeGoods in Castle Rock is the best location in Colorado, it's the largest with a huge inventory. Plenty of parking, to include handicap and the building is handicap accessible. Sooooo easy to find just off I 25 to the west. Clean restrooms with hot water. Their sales staff is at the ready to help you with anything. I saw a cute towel and I wanted another matching one. One sales person called every TJ Maxx in eastern Colorado trying to find another one. Plus they carry just about anything and everything you could need/want. Check them out, have fun, stay healthy, thanks for viewing my post hope I didn't bore you or...
Read moreOver all this location if you want first pick come in the mornings the tjx side The style of the store is cluttered/ disorganized groups everywhere clothing here leans more towards older styling jewelry in case and purses are hit or miss depending on your style not a whole lot of name brand here and if there are it goes fast HomeGoods side is more of an iSpy/thrift style more big pieces if you like multiple styles/colors would recommend here but if you like same style/color maybe can elsewhere Pro: offers loyalty cards ,homeGoods can help with carrying out large items, can wrap items but don’t have them wrap everything ,different verity Con: Wouldn’t recommend working here especially younger people, signage is only in English not Spanish ,lines can get very long 50/50 with being handicapped accessible
You can only buy jewelry at the jewelry counter and makes sense I see a lot of people try to skip the line and check out there maybe the store should consider a 20 item or less to get more...
