I do not shop at this store and have maybe been inside 2 times in my 6 years living in Roanoke. After being recommended to visit this store from a co worker whose husband works with this stored, I gave them a try.
I went in and bought a pair of ear buds on 8/18/2015 which I was told needed to be shipped in from Blacksburg in order to get the color I wanted and was told it would arrive early the next week. I informed them I would be out of town and would need them to hold them until after I returned, which they stated was no problem.
I asked the clerk about their return policy and he stated if I was not happy, I could return them within a week after I picked them up. I double checked that the 7 days for the return policy indeed started when I picked up the ear buds and they again assured me that was correct.
I picked up my ear buds the next week and tried them out. The volume control did not work with my Galaxy S6, sound quality was not preferred, and they were uncomfortable in the ear and would not stay in no matter which size tips I tried.
Unhappy, I tried to return the product 6 days after my pick up date. They told me I could only return them for store credit since it was longer than 7 days since I purchased them. I explained my case about having only received them 6 days prior due to the shipping process and being out of town.
The clerk went to ask his manager which was within ear shot and I could hear every word. The clerk failed to mention how I failed to receive them only 6 days ago and told the manager I purchased them 2 weeks ago.
He came back over and stated "Since they were bought two weeks ago, they've been opened and used, we couldn't accept a full return. Also, the box has some obvious damage."
I asked him to look up my pick up date and he stated "I remember you picking them up and the computer shows it to be two weeks ago", without ever looking up my receipt order number or phone number.
I said, you remember me because you sold them to me, I even remember your name, but I picked them up no more than a week ago... Also, showed him that the box had a perforated punch hole to stab your thumb through to open, and the whole side of the box is perforated to pull off in order to open the package and they simply said sorry, we can offer you more tips though.
Since I don't shop at this store, since everything is over priced, I took the tips and left.
Now I'm stuck with a lousy sounding pair of ear buds, which don't function properly, and don't fit. And $30+ poorer.

I knew that I could probably manage doing some parts of the job myself and save some money(although with cheaper quality components to match) using a China-brand head unit + backup camera from Amazon but only IF all actually went according to plan. However I wanted this car done right the very first time, it was likely to present some challenges, and I knew the quality of Audiotronicsâ work from once before. When you want car audio done right, something custom, or if itâs a difficult vehicle, itâs a no-brainer to consider them for the job. Theyâre well known for their work.
Amer was really great to work with throughout and very knowledgeable. On communication and willingness to work WITH you while taking all the time necessary in helping you decide on best options for youâI can only give 5 flying stars. Couldnât ask for better and exceeded all expectations. When I wanted to talk/ask about technical or minute details and make decisions from them, he was very understanding and went above and beyond to help accommodate. I never felt rushed and they all seemed to empathize with whatever the customer feels is important and simply wanted to deliver. That is pretty uncommon today and very refreshing. They were also able to price match Crutchfield and only use high-quality components.
On the day of the install I was really appreciative of how they went above and beyond to make me comfortable while waiting and keeping me informed. I had originally planned to spend the day walking around the mall area and hoping I could arrange a friend to pick me up for a few hours, but they had comforts and amenities available that made it go easy.
The end result was everything we wanted and it sounds great. I had tempered my expectations on the sound part since the job wasnât really about a sound upgrade, but itâs undoubtedly much better than before. The technician did a great job and was even able to pull off some smaller details I wanted that we werenât sure would be doable with my vehicle. Thoroughly impressed and glad we went through with it. This is my first experience with Audiotronics and I have to admit, in the beginning I was very skeptical I would be handled with care. My MacBook Pro had some display issues and I called Apple and they weren't able to help me over the phone so they referred me to the Audiotronics store to get it repaired. I went in to drop my laptop off and I spoke to Rick the store's certified Apple technician. Right off the bat Rick seemed rude and felt like he thought he was better than me but I had no choice so I dropped it off and feared that my laptop wouldn't be in good hands. However, I had no choice as I am a student and I couldn't really go anywhere else because it would take too long. I left feeling anxious and the Monday after(I dropped it off on Friday) I checked the reviews online and I saw a lot of negative reviews regarding the Apple product repairs and now I was really scared. When they opened I gave them a call and I spoke to Ian, and I'm not gonna lie I really thought I would be met with some attitude but Ian was so sweet and he was so thoughtful and kind assuring me that my product was in good hands and had the Apple Technician give me a call when he was available. I came back into pick up my laptop and Rick was super sweet, so I'm just going to chalk up that below average experience to me being sensitive. So here is my conclusion to my review. While I was scared, Audiotronics took great care of my laptop and it works like new and it had such a fast turnaround as well. I was told 5 business days and it was legit one. I also want to commend the owner for responding to virtually every review on google and if there was a negative review I could see the owner investigated what had happened and replied to the customer which shows not only how much he or she cares for the customer as well as his employees. Also side note, a lot of people complained about how they were charged for something under warranty, it seems that apple support is very bad at communicating what is and isn't under warranty. Do not blame audiotronics for their fault, and at the same time make sure you know what you're getting into double check with audiotronics what the policy is they aren't scammers, they are professionals, treat them...
