Palace Clothiers — Local services in Cedar Falls

Recently got married, and rented 2 tuxedos from Palace. Both simple black tux’s, with minor differences. When we went to pick them up, I needed smaller pants, and my brothers vest and pocket square were the wrong color. I told them that, and had to come back the next day to pick them up. Went in for the 3rd time, and my tux is now correct, but they didn’t change the incorrect vest on the other tux, all they did was change the correct tie to a wrong one. That was the only change. Thank god I looked at them in the store before leaving. So again, I have to explain that it’s still wrong. It’s actually more wrong than last time. So, the week of my wedding, I drive to palace for a third straight day to pick up my tux’s. They are finally correct! Never got an apology, or even a simple acknowledgement that they had screwed up multiple times and inconvenienced me during a very busy week. Dude even said after they were finally right.. “I’m so happy I could help you with all of that man”. Thankfully I only live 20 min away. I definitely wouldn’t use this place for anything more than a single tux for like, prom or something. That’s probably even generous. So much more I could say about how bad the experience was but I’m not typing all that....

I expected much better. I was recommended this place by a family member and was hoping it would be smooth sailing for our wedding but it was anything but. I got everything set up and on the books far in advance and was told we would be able to pick the suits up the Monday before the wedding. Everyone getting a suit through them got sized in store so that there were no problems. Unfortunately that week all we had were issues. We had vests, shirts, pants all the wrong size. My dad had to drive an additional 4 hour trip because after 4 of the other tuxes were incorrect we could not trust it would be right. My brothers bag had no vest all together. When I spoke to a manager about it (Buddy) I was blown off and essentially told that I shouldn’t worry about it and that I should be grateful we caught it early and that they can’t be blamed for other shops measurements (they were all measured there by them). When I said this he said “oh” and didn’t apologize at all. The day of the wedding we open up the bags and discovered that they got the pocket square colors wrong.
