I recently got a haircut with Gigi. I communicated with her at my appointment that my apartment has hard water and it’s been making my hair very dry, frizzy, and feel like there’s tons of build up. My scalp has also been very irritated and itchy and I wanted help with it and product recommendations. She first told me about a hardware shampoo that is sold in a kit but than proceeded to tell me that it’s the last one and she’s not sure if it’s been sold or not. She then told me to scan a QR code and it will take me to a list of all the products they sold in store. When I did it, the QR code hasn’t been updated and brought me to a broken link. I asked her if she could tell me at some point a list of product recommendations and she said she would at the end. For my haircut, I wanted a pretty big chop but I also wanted layers in my hair and for it to be thinned out- both she didn’t do. She then told me I have wavy hair and that I would need to wave train my hair. At this point it was my second time asking for products and how to do that and this time she told me she couldn’t remember the name of the products. I tried asking her about a hard water kit I saw on Amazon that was cheaper and asked her if it was a good one and she said it was ok and left it at that. When she finished cutting my hair, she told me she was going to diffuse my hair. She was gone for about three minutes and told me she couldn’t find a diffuser and she was going to use a blow drier instead. She left my hair wet and told me to air dry the rest. When I got up to pay I asked for a final time a list of product recommendations and she showed me some stuff they were selling at the store but the stuff she was going to tell me to buy they were out of stock at. Then her next client came in and she took him back and I never got any product recommendations or how to even wave train my hair. When I got home, my hair was still wet, felt like build up, and...
Read moreMy name is Tina and I usually don’t give reviews but I think this one is important for future clients. I did not have a good experience here. I scheduled a pedicure with this business back in January. I read the reviews and was excited to get a pedi for an upcoming vacation. I walked in and was greeted. I went over to the area where the pedi was done and didn’t have a place to put my coat. They layed it over a chair. I was Not impressed. I tried to pick out nail polish colors but the selection was terrible. Essie, Zoia, and OPI products that were outdated colors. I sat down on a cushioned bench with a pillow behind me and put my feet in a bucket-looking machine of hot water. Not comfortable or relaxing. Where is the massage chair with heat? I thought I was in a Spa. The young lady was friendly but when she started to paint my toe nails, the nail polish was old and sticky. It was bad. I picked out a different color of course. I sat there for an hour and 50 minutes, and trying to get my toe nail polish to dry. No one offered anything like a fan to help the process of drying. The polish on my big toe even smudged because the polish was so thick. I finally left with a flip flop on my one foot in the freezing cold and snow. All this for $60. Not impressed and I will...
Read moreI have been a loyal client at Kate & Co. for the past two years, and I can’t recommend this salon highly enough. My stylist, Luree, is simply incredible. From the very first appointment, it felt as though I was reconnecting with an old friend. She has an intuitive understanding of what I want, often enhancing my ideas to create a truly perfect look. I never have to explain myself; she just knows.
Recently, I made a significant change to my hairstyle, transitioning from very long hair to a chic, shorter style. Kyra was the stylist who took on this transformation, and she worked her magic with such skill and creativity. Despite my uncertainty about what I wanted, Kyra was able to craft a stunning new look that exceeded my expectations.
I am now seeing her regularly to maintain and refine my style, and each visit has been a wonderful experience. Both Luree and Kyra embody the warmth and professionalism that make Kate & Co. a fantastic place to receive hair care. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for...
