LR Jewelers — Local services in Cedar Falls

Shopping at L&R Jewelers was truly an amazing experience! This was the first store my now fiancé and I ever went to shop for an engagement ring. At the time I think we were 23 years old and knew nothing about rings. Connie spent an hour and a half with us explaining all of the important areas that go into making a beautiful ring and helped answer all of the questions we had. This was an experience that we were not able to find at any of the big box stores. Working with Connie was very refreshing. Her no BS attitude is so hard to find these days and she truly wants to help you get the most bang for your buck and is not trying to push her own commissions on you. Another thing I enjoyed about L&R was the design process. I was able to pick out the band, the head and the stone to truly create the ring I wanted for my fiancé, whereas at the box stores you just picked from what was already in the jewelry boxes.

Since our initial meeting with Connie, I moved out of Cedar Falls but was still able to design and purchase this ring with a couple of visits. That being said, we will also be planning a weekend in Cedar Falls to pick out our wedding bands in the future because of how great our experience was.

Our experience at LR jewelers was very poor from the moment we walked in the door. We went in looking for an engagement ring and were told the three cases they were located in. After spending 10 minutes looking at the case without assistance we were finally able to see and hold rings we were interested in, this whole time the employees didn’t help us while there were no other people in the store. The shopping experience then progressed into the saleswoman bashing other local “Mom and Pop” jewelry stores, even to the extent of bringing out poor quality rings to show. She then continued on to explain how the diamonds they sell are ethical, without any proof, while other jewelers are not. This experience was very negative as the only way they thought they could make a sale was by bashing other stores. Nevertheless we will not be going back and have happily found a beautiful...

Called the store and asked if they could possibly take a look at my glasses, as the frame had separated. I had called to make sure someone was there, and if they would be willing to take a look and see if they could possibly fix them. The person on the phone said yes there is someone here to look at them, and they may possibly be able to Lazer weld them. Explained to her on the phone it was my only reason to drive to CF, so I just wanted to ensure someone was there and willing to see if they could fix them. Answer was yes! Drove to LR Jewlers in CF, and no one there supposedly took my call and had no idea what I was talking about? So in less then 30 minutes I was in the store, not sure how or why but, First Impressions are Lasting...
