We've been here twice. A few months ago we went and all got chicken strips because they were on special. They were pretty tasty. We all got fries too, and all of us thought they were extremely salty. Not inedible, in fact they were tasty, but after a few you started to realize that it was A LOT of salt. We finally decided to go back a 2nd time to give some other menu items a chance. We both got steakhouse burgers, which were very good. Juicy burgers, flavorful toppings. My husband said the onion rings were great. I tried the ranch coleslaw. I usually am a fan of ranch, but something about it in the coleslaw just didn't work for me. I don't know if it was a bad batch or it just didn't suit my personal taste. The price did seem like a bit much for the burgers, especially if you go for the upcharge for some of the special sides ($13.50 for the burger and a side, + $3 to upgrade to the onion rings). The waitress was very good. Attentive, brought a tap list promptly, asked if our toddler needed...
Read moreTerrible terrible service. Wasn't sure if it was seat youself or not when we arrived so my fiancee and I stood in front of what I assume was a host station where a server was writing something. She never aknowledged we were there until I asked her if it was seat yourself which she responded yes to. We sat ourselves and waited seeing it was a bit busy with drinkers for the bar patiently. Not one single employee aknowledged us. Several walked by, not a "we'll be right with you" a "hello" nothing. We sat there for quite some time before just getting up and leaving. Completely unacceptable service. Disappointed and probably won't be back, which is a shame because the food is good. Was here once for lunch and the service was completely different. Night staff needs some serious customer service training. Even if you are busy, it is no excuse to not let the guest know you have seen them and...
Read moreRun of the mill place, really. The staff were nice people.
There was one problem: I asked before ordering if the beef used in the burgers was fresh and our server said yes, it's fresh beef. When my Hangover burger arrived it was obviously a frozen, pre-formed patty. I asked a different server to verify with the manager whether the beef was fresh or frozen and the manager confirmed my suspicion. The patties are frozen.
It's not that it was necessarily any worse than any other frozen patty, it was ok. I highly prefer fresh. There really is no good reason to serve frozen beef patties in the Midwest when there are so many great providers of fresh beef. If you are going to charge me $12-15 for a burger, make it from fresh beef at a minimum.
The tots were done...
