So I am a manager at the Ulta two stores down from this location and I am also an African-American woman who is queer/masculine presenting. I left my keys Saturday night while shopping. My store key and my apartment key. Sunday morning I called and gave a description they said they didn’t have it. So before work I go into work, I check the store and ask again just to see if anyone had found it. Still nothing. So I go to work right after and I have a White sales associate go down and ask for the keys and they give them to her right away. And although I can’t specify if this was an act of racial profiling or not from a retail manager point of view I think the way it was handled was rather ignorant. Every time I was brushed off.
