On July 10th I bought a Samsung stove; the floor rep Anthony was so nice and courteous. The stove was delivered on July 15th, I use a Teflon skillet to cook some eggs, once done the burner looked like it has some burned plastic stuck on the burner, I clean it with soap and water and it's still there. Sunday, July 16th I went into the store and told the person what happened and he told me I needed to purchase the Welman stove top cleaners, I got daily cleaner, burnt-on food cleaner spent 52 bucks on cleaning supplies, and still no luck with getting those spots removed. On Monday the 24th, I go back in with photos of the burners, and the lady at home depot says I need to contact Samsung for it's their product. I called Samsung on July 25th and send pictures to your AA text line, where they turn me over to a Human as it says to contact the store, so I called Home Depot in Cedar Hill around 7:20ish and the Hispanic lady that answered was very rude in telling me that everyone else buys items and bring it in and she hung up. I rushed to the store and the ladies in return take their time to help; I tell the Hispanic lady that you didn't try to help if you're the one that answered and I did not appreciate her hanging up in my face. Next, I went to the appliance section and Anthony says I again need to bring it in; He told me to speak to his manager about me returning the stove, he was on a personal call and told me to wait, 15 minutes later while still on the phone tells the caucasian lady to help me, and she did not let me state my issue, because she interrupted me stating her mom cooked egg and it splatters on the burner, I told her this is not on top, but she continues to insist it is me, not using the cleaning products, I told her I bought 52 dollars worth of cleaning products, but this is under the burner, the issue with the stove is not on top it's inside the burner, but she continues to claim all I need to do is get cleaning supplies, This lady continues to make her mom issue my issue and the manager is still on the phone. The lady never let me show pictures or give my account of the situation, so I left and my 65-year-old w/2 knee replacements (the last being done in January) trying to put this stove in my car, my granddaughter and I finally get it in the back, up at home depot cedar hill, I go and ask Anthony in appliances if he could help me bring it in, he says I need to speak with the manager, I go the guy that never spoke with me, sent someone else who was going to tell me what I did cause her mom did it, I go he isn't helpful at all. I see the black man (the manager) and I tell him I have the stove to return it for it's under warranty to replace it, all he says is now you will pay a disposal fee, I go disposal not re-stock, he says I said disposal fee, it's been over 48 hours so we will not honor your purchase. I say I have your stove that I am afraid to use for 10 days and you see no way to work with me a customer who has spent over 20 thousand redoing my house from your store, I am a loyal faithful customer, but he walked away, I just turn around and left balling because it was so hard getting the stove in my car; now I got to get it back out and into the house. where I am afraid to use it because I don't know if it going to blow up on me or not. What am I to do? All I wanted is a new stove and no one there would work with me, I will never buy from home depot again and I am telling all my single ladies with homes to purchase from Loew's. This is not right I paid 900 and bought the vent-a-hood for another 160 with tax, but they smiled taking my money now I have an issue, it's not their problem. I have been in Cedar Hill for 35 years and always shopped at that Home Depot, but never again with the treatment I received from that location and team: Purchased July 10th; Delivered July 15th Problem occurred on my first use of the stovetop, Sunday, July 16th, more melted spots came up on both front burners nothing on the back burners.    Read moreHi Neighbors! I’ve been coming to the Cedar Hill Home Depot around 20 years now and I can only think of 2 times that I have had a bad experience. I’m an avid DIY’er so Home Depot is my happy place! I may visit LOWES if I can’t find what I need at Home Depot but that’s rarely the case. Home Depot seems to have very high quality supplies and more knowledgeable employees, willing to help. And that standard is not just limited to Cedar Hill but follows through to any branch I have been to, all the way to Lafayette and New Orleans, La as well. But sticking with the Cedar Hill location, there is the constant ring of “Hi, can I help you with something” in your ears. That being said, let me give you just a few examples, as I really wanted to thank a few Home Depot employee anyway. First up is Ms Gloria!! She’s amazing at helping you find the right paint color and sheen. She’s very patient as she ask good questions inorder to make sure she understands what your needs are. She knows the paint department top to bottom, and she knows how to multitask in order to help move the customers along. As busy as the paint department stays, I’ve never seen her upset nor a disgruntled customer. I can’t thank her enough!! Next is Steve, thanks a bunch for helping me with my lawnmower rental. The store was very busy and it took a minute to get someone to the rental section. But once Steve got there it was a smooth transaction. He even apologized to other customers who were waiting as he helped get the mower loaded into my SUV. There is also Mr Willie and Martay, working in appliances. Mr Willie gave me great information on choosing a deep freezer. And Martay loaded it onto a flatbed, pushed it to checkout and then loaded it into my SUV for me. There was even a smile and “have a blessed day” as he was leaving. Then there’s Jeff in the hardware section who helped me match up screws needed for furniture. I really enjoyed our chat as he helped me understand furniture Refinishing. There’s also Grumpy Shane, who comes off as Eeyore but is very knowledgeable about the hardware screws and the electrical tools. Thank you Jeff and Shane and ALL of the Home Depot employees. You guys makes it pleasantly easy to shop the Cedar Hill Home Depot.
Lastly, I want to address a comment I read about safety at this Cedar Hill location. While I don’t want to detract from that customers experience, in 20 years I have NEVER seen a homeless person loitering here. I have NEVER seen or experienced the slightest form of criminal intent, not as much as harsh words amongst customers themselves. The only concern I have regarding safety is the basic concern of being a female out at night. And that internal concern keeps me on guard no matter where I am. So, thanks again to ALL of the employees here at the Cedar Hill Home Depot! You guys...
Read moreTonight was the worst customer service ever from CH Home Depot. We went to purchase a refrigerator and found the one we wanted. Mr. Anthony was a gem and helped us out quickly. However, when my dad went to pay it was cash so Mr. Anthony said he couldn’t take cash but printed out our ticket and walked us to customer service to finish the transaction. We waited in line and when it was our turn the young lady, Sylvia, couldn’t get the transaction to come up. She went to get someone to help and returned waiting herself for someone. After quite some time of waiting my dad asked her how much longer and she said a few minutes. He said we had already waited a long time, which we were in there almost an hour when it took us 15 minutes to tell them what we wanted. She said oh well you can go to another Home Depot you don’t have to shop here. Of course my dad said you are right. So we took the papers back to Mr. Anthony so he could clear out anything he needed. We told him what happened and he walked us back up there. By this time another young lady was there and figured out what happened. The lady said she apologized that they were short staffed. At that point that’s when I said well that should have been Sylvia’s answer, not with her attitude saying we can go to another HD. Then when I asked who her manager was she said she didn’t know. I asked what the store number was and she didn’t know that either. She just stood there with her smirk. She said she was new. Well Home Depot in my opinion she was no where near for to be in customer service one because of her attitude and two she knew nothing. I am very disappointed because I sure love my Cedar Hill but best believe we will NOT be giving our business to this store. Very...
