Quite possibly the best experience I have had in my entire life. I am from Kansas City and when I got engaged I wanted to meet my friend half way from WI and KS to just weed out the type of dress I wanted. She found Embody in Cedar Rapids and once I looked at the website I knew I was going to have a great experience. Once we were there and just weeding out what I liked vs what I didn't walking back the last time I found the dress just right in front of me. I put her on and I just knew it was made for me. We left that day without ordering because I needed to bring my mom to see. Once I brought her back and tried the dress on again I fell in love again. The reason that Embody is getting 5/5 is not just because of the selection, the ease of making an appointment, the way that Erynn communicates everything - its getting 5/5 because of the way that Erynn really listens to what you are thinking, the way that she makes you feel so confident in what you are wearing (even when you are dealing with body demons), its the private space and appointment to be the center of it all and the focus is on just you. I cannot wait for my wedding, I will tell everyone around KC about Embody Bridal. Thank you so so much for not only making something I wasn't looking forward to be the highlight of all wedding planning, but making me feel seen, heard, and confident. I am a plus size bride, running normally a size 16-20 depending on the clothes. I found out pretty quickly bridal sizes run very small, so as a size 20-22 my options became much more limited. I can say without a doubt, this store had SO many more options than any of the other shops I went to in the area that I actually loved and felt beautiful in. Truly a say yes to the dress tears everything moment lol. I came into the idea of looking for my dress and settling on something that would look okay on me, but having little self-confidence nothing that would actually make me feel truly beautiful and I 100% found one that I actually feel beautiful in. Erynn made the process SO smooth, I hopped into those dresses let me tell you. A bunch of the dresses have corsets built into the which not only makes the dress look so much more amazing on you, it feels more comfortable with the strapless dresses and fitted to you. The quality of the dresses is outstanding, nothing that looks tacky or cheap, everything that I tried on was TOP notch. If you are a plus size bride like me in the cedar rapids area, 100% give this place a visit. Before visiting her store, I was feeling really discouraged after going to multiple places and worried that I wouldn’t find the dress I had envisioned for my big day. But Embody had my dream dress, and I couldn’t be more grateful! Erynn’s energy is amazing, and I can’t wait to come back and try on my dress once it arrives!!!
