First of all the prices or WAY TOO HIGH. 1.25 for a chocolate covered cherry? I’ve had better out of a box. Secondly the place is small and overcrowded with unnecessary random pictures all over the wall that make the place look tacky and a little weird. I could see if the pictures were of things candy related but they’re not. My boyfriend, my brother and I went here today, I always wanted to check it out because they said there was nostalgia candy, which there really isn’t by the way. We went in and my boyfriend picked up a chocolate candy coin and looked out it then placed it back in the dish. Immediately a woman came up to us and accused him of stealing! Stealing a chocolate?? He’s not 4 years old! My boyfriend said she could check his pockets, she said no it was fine and she trusted him, but he turned out his pockets anyways, showing there was NO candy in there. She continued to follow us throughout the store and we made a purchase and got ready to leave when she followed us out and told my boyfriend to never come back! My boyfriend said he wanted to check the cameras to prove her wrong but she refused! AWFUL customer service, mediocre candy selection, and tacky looking shop. Enter at...
Read moreWe decided to stop into the shop as a surprise to our toddler. We ran into the owner/worker outside and he was friendly. I mentioned I was struggling a little in the heat as I am 8months pregnant kind of in casual conversation with him and without even asking he went into a back room and grabbed a chair for me and then even brought me a cold water bottle. It was very nice of him. My husband walked our son around finding different candies and it was fun because while they have popular ones, they also had older candies (older in the sense of candy I grew up on not freshness) that I haven't seen in a while in grocery stores and such. They even have a display case of, what I imagine are, honemade candies too. We each picked out one and they were delicious. My toddler didn't share so we can only go off of how fast he snarfed it down and his "yummy in my tummy" comment that it was...
Read moreThis is the BEST chocolate place in town. The other places advertise more, or seem more “trendy”, but this little place downtown has the best home-made chocolate at the best price anywhere. You won’t believe the value and the amazing choices. The case of truffles are delicious, there are so many choices of the single-piece chocolates, and I love the old-time candy available we used to get as kids. We stop in every time before we attend the Paramount to get pieces to eat at intermission. So much better than the snack bar! The owner is so friendly, and she really wants you to find something you enjoy. It’s a great place for gifts- she will gift wrap everything so it looks beautiful and high-end! Drive downtown, if you don’t want to park, get dropped off and have your ride circle the block....
