If zero stars were available I’d gladly choose that option. I had him replace my screen which was a solid mistake. My phone even with a cracked screen while charging has Never had charging issues. He “fixes” the phone for $153 and ever since then, when I plug my phone in it shuts off and turns on randomly. I call him nicely, and professionally, NOT coming off rude, just simply explained the situation and before I can finish telling him what happened, he cuts me off and goes “nope it’s the battery. It’ll be 75 dollars for a new one.” And I repeat myself and explain it hasn’t happened since he touched the phone and then he sits there and calls me a liar over and over like a little child. Then wanted to be all tough guy like and got extra douchie. 10/10 do not recommend or ever trust his work again, nor will I steer people his way. I don’t know if he used to get bullied in schol or something but no reason to get all defensive and start getting loud. Just a friendly word of advise bud.

I simply said “THE SCREEN HE USED DIDNT WORK WELL WITH MY FINGERS, nothing against his install” I specifically said that. btw this screen is the same way, slow and my touch barely works. Thought it was the screen protector so I took that off, but it’s the same. Grow up and hold yourself accountable/responsible to your work. Also, you never modified your schedule, I was at your store around 10:05am Wednesday, You open at 10am, but guess what? You were late to open your own store, didn’t get there til about 11:10. (Even told me it wasn’t a big deal, you aren’t busy. It only takes 15 mins) I watched 5 people walk in, and walk back out shaking their head. Because you weren’t open when the sign says you’ll be open. And it wasn’t 3 days smart one. It was Wednesday, and I’m a respectful enough of a person to not bug you on thanksgiving day, so I called you the very next business morning. Which is 2 days. 👍🏼 can’t add up your days right. As a shot in the dark, I thumbed through the listings on Google for "electronics repair Cedar Rapids", hoping I could bring some favorite, broken items back to life. Each time, within a couple days, maximum, I would receive a call, text, or email, that the work was completed. FAST and very communicative! My fancy mechanical keyboard (A Ducky Shine 5) again has backlit keys. My computer monitor, which I had dropped on the floor a million times, is again in use (Looking at it right now!). GadgetGuy is a great brand, made so by a committed technologist; Honest, fair appraisals. Jon is quick to tell me when some resources he needs for a job simply don't exist.

Please support local business, by checking if he can fix your older, legacy equipment of any type. You don't always have to toss it out with the trash!! went in and got my phone screen fixed once, not a big deal. prices werent too shabby either. got to talking to one of the workers on a not so "business professional" level, and things went downhill. broke my phone screen a second time, got it replaced again, not a big deal. then they put not one, not 2, but 3 screen protectors on because they couldn't do it right the first time. again, broke my screen for the THIRD time and took it back to them just because prices are good and they're fast with repairs. walked in and here sat one of the employees with a hand gun in a holster on his hip just quite on show like he was showing off, may I say I felt very uncomfortable being in there, but anyways third time put another screen protector on and a week later it fell off. also heard that the employees like to take clients upstairs to a futon..? wonder what they do up there when business is downstairs?? 10/10 do...
