Testimonials are quite a personal thing; I don't give them often. But so impressive and positive was my experience with Andrew's Jewelers, I'm making a rare exception in their case.
Recently, I found myself in need of the services of a thoroughly knowledgeable, professional, candid, fair and trustworthy jeweler/gemologist, and was delighted to find all of that and more in Bill at Andrew's Jewelers. I knew within minutes that his was the firm with which I wanted to do business.
In partnership with his amazing, capable, knowledgeable and personable administrative right-hand, Julia, they were of invaluable assistance to me during a particularly difficult time.
If like me you tend to be put-off by chilly, impersonal chain stores and slick, high-pressure, robotic salespeople, Andrew's is the friendly, thoroughly professional, down-to-earth alternative you've been searching for.
In addition to their amazing selection of beautiful and unique rings and other related jewelry pieces, there's a warm, personable, 'real-people' vibe at Andrew's. Honestly, it felt more like I was visiting old friends whom I'd not seen in a while, rather than the usual brusquely efficient 'transactioning' one now experiences at most other stores. As such, I will be bringing all of my future jewelry business here, and am recommending them to my friends and family.
Smart, skilled, friendly folks who will work patiently with you in a relaxed atmosphere to make sure you're happy and completely comfortable and satisfied with your decision.
Meet with Bill and Julia; talk with them. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised and very...
Read moreIt's one of those places that convinces you to turn to the big-box stores for exceptional customer service and quality as oppose to the small business which is sad. I walked in with a friend and asked if they can remove or file the beads (put by a different small business) on the back of my engagement ring as after pregnancy it became a little too tight. I walked out with an impression that nothing can be done to my ring as it's too fragile and delicate and overall "this new design" is a disaster as the prongs don't hold the diamonds well so it's not safe to do any work to the ring. I was told to use windex to slip the ring through my knucle. My friend immediately said she wouldn't trust what they said. I went to Trice jewelers later when I realized my knuckle is getting hurt every time I put the ring on and the lady there explained that the beads weren't placed correctly in the first place and should be shaped differently (flat with no sharp edges). She complimented me on my ring and showed me my ring under the microscope to show that no diamonds on the band are loose or in danger of becoming loose. Andrews jewelers store in my experience proved to be nowhere near being knowledgable or professional and is definitely lacking customer service or common sense...
Read moreThere's lots of mixed reviews, but our experience with Bill and his staff was great! Julia explained that using stones from an old ring is great for sentimental value, but may not be the cheapest option due to labor and other factors (other jewelers had also confirmed this). When picking out a center stone, Julia and Susan showed us several gems, told us about them, and let us look under the refractometer which was really cool to see. Then Bill and Susan went above and beyond looking for a green kite cut sapphire at a gem show (while sending me pictures of stone options so I could make the choice that would really suit me). Bill was respectful of my vision/wants for the ring, but still gave his opinion on things like the setting so that the stone would be protected and not snag on anything, which I appreciated and I ended up loving the design he suggested! The only hiccup was when my fiancé and I asked about price, we were quoted for the stone but not the whole ring. I don't blame his staff, though because it was just a miscommunication, and the ring was still cheaper than if we had gone online and custom ordered it. We would definitely recommend...
