The pictures of the food at this place look really good- looks like a place I would love or at least love to try. When I walked in that evening the atmosphere made in impression on me- it felt like money- fancy! Here's the deal though, the rather large order that I was there for became a mystery... The first girl that I talked to when I gave her the name was like, "No problem I'll go check on it and be right back." After several minutes she came out with another girl beside her who said "Um, yeah I don't have that order." I said "Well...," and showed the order I was supposed to be picking up on the screen of my phone. She was like "yeah somebody canceled- er, uh, my kitchen is closing and we didn't get the order." I was confused. I was trying to make some extra money, delivering GrubHub orders as a second job to help my family and I get by- EVERYBODY knows how expensive gas is these days too. Realizing there wasn't really anything I could do- I was just sort of standing there looking puzzled- I was having a hard time digesting the line of B.S. that I had just been fed. The gal was like "Don't worry, we'll call them for you." "O.K., I guess... Because we need to make sure we're on the same page." I went ahead and called GrubHub, out of necessity first and foremost, I let them know what had happened, however, before I had even spoken with anyone, I watched to order change to "canceled" in my driver app. I was ultimately informed that I would not be compensated in any sort of way for my time, effort, not even the gas I spent to drive 15 minutes to this restaurant. Needless to say I was very upset. Very frustrating to lose money and time with family all because, let's be honest, just like so many places do these days, the employees at INDULGE decided that the most important matter at hand is that they get to be out of there before or right at closing time. This is such an epidemic problem these days- good customer service is extremely rare. These people could care less about the customers who had been sitting, waiting most likely quite hungrily, fully expecting the order they had made to be delivered. They cared even less that I had spent time, effort and my own money, trying to deliver that order. Anyway, I hope they all indulged in a great evening. I obviously won't be indulging in any of the fine...
Read moreUPDATE I was contacted by a manger the same day I posted this review. She was apologetic and made things right. I appreciated her customer service and the fact that excuses weren’t made and she just wanted to correct the situation. We’ll go back for a happy hour I’m sure ☺️ Pretty big letdown for brunch on a Sunday. We came from a little ways away (Parker) b/c the happy hour we went to a couple of weeks back was great! Sadly, the bottomless mimosas (orange juice option) tasted like EmergenC and were made in large pitchers that they used to refill. That meant no bubbles what-so-ever and the taste was well, let’s just say, less than stellar. The cranberry mimosas were at least individually made and more bubbly and flavorful. My dad (who is on a budget by the way and doesn’t eat out a lot) ordered a coffee, which came out cold. We informed the server, who brought out a new coffee (with little care that the first one was cold) ... which was also cold. He ended up sending it back rather than drink/pay for cold coffee. Food took longer than expected (the place wasn’t busy by any means) and (2) of (4) people’s potatoes on their plates were cold. Not just “warm”. Cold. New potatoes were brought to the table, and they were warm, but by no means hot (again with little care from our server) 😐 we asked for separate checks, but all was on one. No big deal, but after we paid we asked for one more (cranberry) mimosa, and the server was less than willing (again, there was not a wait and people were not waiting for out table & after our less than great experience, we decided one more mimosa (we ordered “bottomless”) would help us feel better about the money spent). Long story short. Won’t be coming again for brunch for sure, and after the service, not sure we’d come again in general. We work really hard for our $ and prefer to get the...
Read moreSuch a disappointment. I made a reservation for 6pm on a Tuesday while my vegetarian sister was visiting from the UK. We arrived on time and were promptly seated. No issues with drinks and they were very accommodating with lowering a shade when the sun was setting through the window. Unfortunately, this is where things took a turn. We waited another 15 minutes for our server to take our order, which consisted of three shareable plates and he didn’t write it down. At 645 there was still no sign of our food. Finally it came but two out of the three dishes were entirely wrong (and had meat/fish in them which my sister doesn’t eat). He apologized and retook our order. The other two correct dishes came out a few minutes later. The food was okay. We finished eating and then proceeded to wait AGAIN for ages for our check. At this point we’re over it and the manager(?) noticed. I saw him tell our server to drop our check and IT STILL DIDN’T COME. Finally I approached the bar and asked to pay. I heard the manager say to the server quietly that “all his tables were coming up” and then the manager took our bill and discounted it by $10 “for the mishap” (I’m assuming he meant the food? Or maybe the wait for the check, idk). Our server took our card at the bar and when he returned he slammed it down on the bar, made some snotty comment to the manager I didn’t hear but the tone was absolutely clear, and snapped at us “thanks for coming in.” Look, I was a server for years, it’s a hard job, but the restaurant was mostly empty, and having long waits continuously, the wrong food, and weird attitude and employee infighting in front of customers was really unpleasant. I had intended to take another houseguest here next week if it was a good experience but obviously I need to find an...
