Rural King — Local services in Center Township

Rural king, one of the best stores I've seen, and for those who may be questioning this like we did, yes you can take your LEASHED dog into the store, we called the store to check and I love that you're able to do this, just like petsmart but so much better. They have so many things to choose from and rarely have people there to "inconvenience" you. I got stopped by two guys today, they were super friendly and were selling portrait photography, it was $16 for an actual pretty good deal, they weren't rude and were very enjoyable to talk to, they fact that the pictures cost so little but the pictures shown were beautiful was a little concerning. But they informed me that the cost is low because rural king is paying the rest of it and just leaving the customer with a small portion. I honestly think that's a great thing the company is doing and I can appreciate them for that much.

It can be a little expensive in general, but for the quality of item you're buying, I personally don't think it's that bad.

I like the wide variety of foods for my dog, specifically the Eukanuba. My friend gives their dog this food and you can definitely tell a difference so I wanted to see how it did with my pupper, they get theirs through Amazon but I didn't feel like waiting and she needed food, a quick stop here and I was ecstatic to see that they had it. It was less than a dollar more than Amazon and I got it that day, so I'm grateful for that.

They do have some really great deals as well. They were selling cat trees for as low as $60, the one I got was a 4 tier, two cat house tree, it has the toy at the top level, a hammock for her at the 3rd level across from her bed and a nice little memory foam square at the bottom, below the second cat bed and a bunch of scratching posts in each area. I looked other places and they wanted significantly more, there isn't a single thing wrong with this car tree. Box was like new, material is softer than ever and it has a nice layout as well as being sturdy and strong. My friend got a bigger one with far more beds, ladders, ramps and toys, at the exact same price, it was practically a steal, but again, still appreciated.

I'd say this company it doing it right. Along with the fact that theres guys there to help you load stuff in your car if you need help, A+ for rural king...

Had some issues with my new RK 37 tractor assembly being completed by a technician incorrectly from a different location in PA. I called RK in Waverly, Ohio due to it being a hub for the RK tractors. They contacted one of their mobile techs from Monaca, PA. He came to my house and was very knowledgeable and corrected the mistake and then answered all the questions I had regarding other items with the functionality of the RK 37 tractor. Here is the bottom line so far, as I see RK tractors. They are a very nice tractor made by TYM in Korea that perform very well and are priced much lower due to a big box store branding. They have a Yanmar engine (Japanese) that is well made and has the potential to last a very long time if service is kept up! The biggest draw back is like any big box store selling a product that is more of a specialty than average consumer good. Maybe the person will dig into the manuals and find out everything there is to know about the product their selling, or maybe they'll do the bare minimums. Unfortunately that is the mentality as most reading this will understand. So, it is up to you as the customer to educate yourself in knowing your tractor and finding the best people who take pride in their work and seek them out for answers and service. Monica, Pa location seems to be a good place to start. I am sure that there are a number of other locations that are excellent as well, but you may have to do a little homework to find them. We have been loyal rural king customers for several years now and have always spoken highly of it. Especially the chicks as we found they were healthier than chicks we purchased from tractor supply.

We purchased 12 chicks on Sunday. Within 24 hours we lost 6 chicks. I called our local rural king (Monaca, Pa) immediately and was informed that we could come in anytime in the next 7 days with a receipt and they would honor replacements.

We came in this afternoon for replacements are were informed they no longer honor 7 days and have not in a while. I explained I spoke to a woman in customer service and I was told differently. The employee asked the manager for guidance and she was extremely rude and provided us some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

The loss of half our chicks was tramatic and poorly bt handled customer service which poured salt into the wound.

Additionally it's a 45 minute drive one way for these chicks. Had I known I was going to need to pay a second time I would have thought twice. I will be taking this situation into consideration when making any purchasing, as another similar store is far closer...
