Very dissatisfied! Bought a bracelet for my daughter for Christmas and asked about resizing because she has small wrist. Sales rep said order protection plan for 100 and resizing, cleaning, repairs will be done free. So okay I did. Of course bracelet was too big took had to get resized. A different sales rep said if you do it won't be pretty anymore. I was upset but they said we will send it out and if you don't want it you can return the bracelet. Two weeks later my daughter went to pick it up. The sales rep that sold me the bracelet brings it to her and says wait let me clean it. Comes backs lays it out for her and my daughter said it's discolored where they shortened it that it's rose gold in color and she doesn't want it. He said yeah I don't know why they sent it back like this I will send it back to them to clean with drummel. She was very suspicious of him because he should have said that first not laid it out hoping she would accept the discolored bracelet. She said okay but if it looks the same I don't want it. Two weeks later she goes back again to pick it up. It is still discolored. She doesn't want it. The sales rep claims they can't take it back now because it's over 30 days. Will give her store credit only. I spent almost $500 for a bracelet they claimed could resize but they couldn't. She ordered a different style bracelet they claim will be easier to resize but it wasn't on sale now. The bracelet I bought was regular price $529 on sale black Friday for $ 329 plus tax and protection plan came to $485.00. They bracelet she is getting now cost $349 regular price on black Friday it was on sale for $289.00. She had to pay the $21.20 and is getting a cheaper bracelet. Stay tuned it will be two weeks for the new bracelet to come in and then two more weeks to send it out to be resized. It's ridiculous. I should have...
Read moreWow! What an amazing experience, after a couple of seriously terrible experiences, searching for that perfect engagement ring! Three days prior to stopping in at Kay, we purchased a ring elsewhere, but quickly returned it when they couldn’t provide certification for the Diamond. The Diamond representative at the second place was more concerned with ending her shift and beginning her weekend. She gave me her website and told me to figure out what I’d like and get back to her? I was beginning to wonder if anyone wanted to sell us a ring! Then, we passed Kay Jewelers and decided to run in and look around. The minute we walked through the door, we were approached by Kurt Johnson and another associate. Now, this is what shopping for an engagement ring should feel like! His excitement showing us many different Diamond styles and shapes instantly brought that excitement back to us! Kurt answered a ton of questions from my fiancé, while showing me ring after ring. Honestly, his patience was commendable! I should mention that his associate ran around pulling rings that Kurt thought I may like, so we actually felt like we were finally in the right place! These guys listened to what we wanted. They stayed within our budget, but most importantly, Kurt found us the perfect ring! It was completely different than anything we looked at and I instantly fell in love! We went to dinner, came back, and were surprised to find yet another associate to assist with the purchase! These guys go above and beyond and I’ll be forever grateful that they were able to provide the experience everyone deserves when engagement ring shopping! Thank you Kurt and everyone...
Read moreI am not one to write reviews but I felt I needed to share my experience at Kay Jewelers today. My husband and I are long time, loyal customers of Kay’s. One of the reasons we continued to purchase from them was because of their warranties. As long as you had your piece examined by them every 6 months, you are covered for repairs for life. Good deal. For our 25th wedding anniversary, my husband purchased a new wedding set for me...a beautiful certified solitaire and enhancer. Last year, once the stores started to reopen from the closures caused by COVID, I took my rings in to Kay’s to be inspected. They told me they weren’t inspecting because of the pandemic and Kay’s was extending the warranties. I stopped again today to see if the were inspecting and if so, to have my rings checked. They inspected them. I was told 3 of the baguettes in my enhancer were cracked and it wouldn’t be covered by the warranty because the extensions due to COVID ended on Jan 31. Today is February 6. Six days ago. You would think they would make an exception since I am a recurrent customer. I had no way of knowing the extensions were ending. After all, we are still in the midst of the pandemic. I never received any notification from them and wasn’t aware they were inspecting again. The guy, who I guess was the manager, had the nerve to tell me they were having 25% sale when I told him I would not let them fix the enhancer if it cost more than the value of the ring. Not a chance buddy will I ever purchase anything from Kay’s again or recommend anyone buy anything from this business. I guess my long time business...
