We booked this hotel from Thursday to Sunday. When we checked in we noticed that our bathtub seemed like it had just been rinsed instead of scrubbed. Check in desk said that house keeping was by request only, so we tried to use the phone to call and request. There was no directory for guests, so we didn't know what line to call. We went to the front desk between 6 and 7 pm to request our batbtub be cleaned and were told house keeping had left for the day. I thought that was weird as it was pretty early in the evening but no big deal. I opted to scrub it myself and they were kind enough to provide the cleaner and rags. We were told the continental breakfast was 9 dollars but it was the same breakfast experience you get at the hampton for free. We paid a premium price for what we thought was a nicer hotel than the neighboring hotels, but we did not have any extra or special amenities. No big deal I thought, the big bed and giant room were going to make up for it. The mattress was very uncomfortable. Felt like I had a spring in my hip no matter what part of the bed i was laying in. The TV was very small and far away from the bed. The room was super spacious and clean (outside of the bathtub), but the desk chair was covered in large stains that looked much like what I can only describe as 'bodily fluid'. The usb charging ports could only charge one device at a time despite having 2 usb plug ins. The Wi-Fi was awful. I could hardly stream a YouTube video on my phone. About good enough to browse a webpage but if you had planned to use it for Netflix or another streaming platform, don't bother with the headache. There were enough television channels to choose from, but no directory or channel guide that you can scroll/look through. The guide channel (ch 2) auto self scrolled and you were unable to choose from the list, and had to remember the channel number to get to that program. Which is fine, but difficult when you are trying to decide between a few options. The pillows were comfortable but the sheets were awful. Super scratchy. The duvet cover came off of the duvet every night. The fitted sheet did not fit the mattress properly so the corners lifted and had to be fixed endlessly. The mattress slid across the box spring very easily and moved from the left to the right during the night. They had no bottled water in the rooms or for purchase. (Sign said out of stock). So we had to go all the way to the Rochester sheetz at 2am just to get water. The tap water smelled a lot like chlorine. This hotel was certainly not worth the price. The staff I encountered was very friendly and...
Read moreWe were visiting from Florida for a wedding. The biggest downfall of the stay was not having local or regional shuttle service from the hotel. We should have rented a vehicle earlier than we had planned. The wedding ceremony and reception that we attended were within 8 and 15 minutes of the hotel, respectively. Trying to get a cab or an Uber to either one of those locations was like pulling teeth. We did schedule the rideshares needed in advance, and if they didn’t show up 15 minutes early then they canceled the trip. If you are traveling to this remote location north of Pittsburgh make sure to obtain your own transportation or that your wedding party provides adequate shuttle service. Also, you’re limited to the amount of restaurants in the area so make sure to either dine early at the hotel or one of the local places when you may actually be able to get an Uber or Lyft, or have transportation to travel to other locations. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant except for two breakfast meals - the service was amazing but the food was absolutely subpar (oily omelette and cold fried oily potato wedges). I wish instead that we had ordered from King’s Diner on Uber Eats but didn’t want our food to be cold by delivery time....||||We did order cocktails and beer to-go from the Jackson’s bar. Typical hotel pricing which was not shocking to me but the very kind bartender shared in advance that the bottles of beer are five dollars each so that we wouldn’t be shocked like other guests might sometimes be (weddings and the related travel events can be expensive). Clean rooms and a decent bed but small...
Read moreThis hotel is fraudulent and lacks in every sense of customer service. We stayed here for a wedding for 2 nights . Our wedding group rate was supposed to be 130 per night which was not honored by the hotel. We paid 486.81 in total for 2 nights.
I booked this hotel in November and the group rate did not close until 12/1. When I called the local hotel to resolve this issue they stated it was a corporate issue and I didn’t book the group rate correctly. I live in Az and utilized the link to the group rate , so I’m not sure how I didn’t book it “properly “ . The hotel stated I would need to call corporate per Katrina the front desk manager.
When I called corporate they stated. There was nothing they could do to correct the problem. They blamed me entirely. I notified them that several other couples had this problem with the price charged. They would not take responsibility for their faulty link.
I would never book here for a wedding group. The bride and groom went to the hotel to staighten out the problems and recieved no help . They also got double charged for their hotel room and had to fight to correct the double charge .
In addition the hotel bar was supposed to stay open late till “3”. The bar was rude and started kicking out people at 0100. They say overbooked this hotel for NYE . There were 3 wedding groups and not enough staff to handle the crowd.
Save yourself the time and hassle and take your business elsewhere.
