I was very shocked at the customer service I have received at this store in Centralia. I had been there before and received great service. I live in Chehalis and wont go to the one there, due to poor customer service. I have Home Depot very near to me. I like to support local smaller businesses. i needed no trespassing signs and other signs like the metal ones that state. Beware of owner or my house is secured by smith and wesson. So I called many stores to see if they had them. I called the one in Centrailia and the man assured to me that they had them he put me on hold to check. We there which took me 25 minutes due to traffic on Harrison back up from on ramp to the store. Got there and they didnt have what i was looking for. I was upset because they told me they had them. i bought the no trespassing signs. two clerks were very sorry for what happen. You make sure you have the product before telling the customer they have them. I told him i was coming from another town. When i went to purchase the signs. i said I guess my time and money arent werent anything. The cashier told me in a very mean way and stare. "I dont like your attitude " she was young and i was shocked on how no empathy to me for and the mistake they made to me. She needs to be stocking shelves and cleaning bathrooms. In my 40 years of Customer Service I had people screaming at me and I never was rude like that..You always take care of the customer and fix the problem. Read moreA few months ago you made a change in your store, moving the check out counters around. I don't know if that has anything to do with what's going on there now but it seems that that's part of the problem. I came in there yesterday and there was at least six people waiting for one cash register. I walked to the back of the store and there was severial other employees in the store visiting in groups of two amongst themselfs yet nobody went up to relieve the pressure at the check out. This is not a new thing since you've move the cash register. it has been going on and you need to look at this. My wife left the other day in frustration and I have too. We live in Rochester and literally drive by our hardware store because they are so rude and drive to your store. But I just called in about some fiber board decking, I'm trying to find a grey color in a specific size, this project is for my home but my dad is going to be picking it up for me since I have work tomorrow. I was calling around to find it and verify a store had it and at what price before sending my dad and your employee made a comment of "you can come in and look" when I asked about if they had a grey color decking and then he ended up asking someone else who confirmed you do have grey. Then when I asked how much a 12ft piece is he proceeded to sigh at me, put me on hold (which was fine), then when he came back with the price I was saying thank you when he just hung up on me.
