I had a terrible experience here, and do not recommend anybody doing business with this company. I was promised a large purple pot to purchase for $50 on a Sunday, the following day, the owner refused to honor the price given to me, although the pot has been in their yard for over 4 years, and was hidden from plain view and was marked up 150% per the owners admission to give the pot to me at "his price". We ultimately bought 2 large evergreen trees, and a cement bench. We did pay full price for both trees, one at $64.99 and the other at $129.99 and the bench at $120.99. When we came the next day to pick up our order, the crate that the larger tree was in fell apart when my husband went to move it. It was clearly, extremely root-bound. When I noticed this I asked to speak to the owner and waited for over 15 minutes for the owner to come out and talk to me. When he finally came out to talk to me I informed him that due to the condition of the tree I would like some sort of guarantee or refund of the tree, he looked at the tag on the tree and told me that I only paid $12.99 for the tree, and that that was a great deal. I corrected him and told him that I did not pay $12.99 and demanded a refund. My husband was then left to load this huge root-bound tree, the smaller of the trees, and the heavy cement bench by himself. The next day when my husband set the bench up, he noticed a huge crack through the bench, and when he placed the top on, the whole corner of the bench fell off. He then dug the holes for the trees and went to plant them, yet both trees were SO root-bound, my husband had to use our pick ax to loosen them up before planting them. We have given these plants the best new start possible with plenty of water, loose roots, and a great soil mix for them. Hopefully they do well. If you want to pay 150% mark-up for root-bound, barely thriving evergreen trees and old garden items, be treated rudely by employees and the owner, and receive no help in loading large items, then this is your...
Read moreI rescued a bearded dragon who was in very poor health. We called Pioner West on our way home we needed proper heat lamps because the ones the previous owner used were just regular light bulbs. It was close to closing time they said they would wait for us. We arrived just before closing the staff was amazing. They helped with proper lighting, put Mushu under a heat lamp while we shopped.Honestly had they not jumped in and helped my rescued bearded dragon Mushu wouldnât have survived. We got him and he was ice cold, hardly breathing, couldnât keep his eyes open and I thought he died at least 5 times on the way home because I couldnât feel or see him breath. Honestly the staff is GREAT! They truly care and we will be back for ALL our reptile needs. I canât thank the staff...
Read moreWhat an amazing staff! I love to come here for all our reptile needs. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Heck they even stayed open late one night because we called and were rushing to get to the store before they closed. We had rescued a unhealthy bearded dragon and I thought he died a couple times on the way to pioneer. They put him under a heat lamp while we shopped and let us borrow some towels they warmed up just so we could make it home with him. We returned them washed and left a thank you note. I strongly believe because of this amazing team our bearded dragon is alive and healthy today. Mushu thanks all of you at pioneer and we canât thank you all enough. Amazing staff and just a all around...
