The food has always been good, especially teriyaki in a small town. Well, I get there...I must look different because I was treated with some of the worst customer service. My bio mom got admitted into the hospital for some heart irregularities, and so I got the family together. What's closest and still really good?! Pssshh, Gigi's. We head there, we get at least 6 good meals, a few sushi rolls, and drinks. The bill? 74 something or 75 something. I hand her a hundred, she holds it like its garbage, goes and grabs the pen and holds it up (not looking through it for security reasons, just to look at it as if it's not good enough.) A bit annoyed, I asked, "is there a problem? Do you need a newer hundred?" Giving her a brand new one instead of the older hundred. She then looked me up and down and asked, "have you ever been here?" I then replied to her, "I've been in and out of here for years, but this is the best I've had in a long time." She sensed my angry passion from being harassed, counted change and as she starts handing it to me---my reply, "keep the change." Gigi, if you guys are going to be bigoted, find a place that doesn't involve customer relations. You guys are rude and left out two orders of our rice. Compliments to the chef, she had nothing to do with any of this and still cooked our food to perfection. This isn't the prison system in your restaurant, don't treat people like criminals when you really dont even know what someone's struggling with in life. You work in a sketchy town, I understand hesitation...find tact or training for customer service and I'll modify or delete...
Read moreThe owners are very kind, greeted us as soon as we walked in and backed off so we could have some time to look at the menu, not pushy at all. In the middle of ordering a mobile order was called in, the woman taking our order apologized for interrupting but it wasn’t a big deal at all, she was so sweet and it seems like she was multitasking due to seemingly small staff. My boyfriend ordered the orange chicken with fried rice, and I the kids teriyaki chicken bowl, with melon milk tea and boba. The food was phenomenal, considering it wasn’t super expensive and the portions were plentiful. The milk tea itself was a 10/10, although I think it is worth noting to those of you who are picky the boba did not taste fresh made, rather like the packets you buy and heat up; which is fine! I could be wrong, I didn’t ask. I wish we could have tipped more, this place has so much potential, I think that if they were able to clean up the outside of the restaurant people would be less intimidated and give it try! Definitely coming back to try their sushi and yakisoba, as well as the many other items...
Read moreWell this place has gone straight downhill.... I understand inflation, but doubling your prices and cutting your portions in half is pretty ridiculous, not to mention dropping the quality of food considerably. We used to eat here all the time - great prices, really good portions of food, and really good sushi, but hadn't in a while because we've been super low on income. Well, today (06/02/22) we had a little extra money and decided we wanted to go back for nostalgic purposes, and after this last time, we will not ever be returning. It was over $30 for two teeny tiny little meals with the smallest of portions, the rice was mushy and cold, the sushi was subpar - it was warm, mushy, and not rolled very tightly, the teriyaki chicken was barely warm - which was very weird considering we literally sat outside the door for 20 minutes until they opened and we were the first customers in the restaurant. Definitely would put this place in the minus stars if I could! I do not recommend that you eat here if you want any quality, or amount of food for your...
