In search of a present to wrap in a box? Have you tried Dick's?
One of the major new additions to the Los Cerritos Center, Dick's Sporting Goods is a 2-story Goliath of a sporting goods store. While not as big as, say a Bass Pro Shops, Dick's easily dwarfs the likes of Big 5 & Sports Authority.
2 entrances, one in the mall across from Yogurtland & the other dedicated entrance to the west parking lot by the 605 freeway. The first level carries apparel & accessories, with competitive pricing.
The second level is dedicated to the more outdoor-sy items, along with shoes.
Fishing is one my hobbies, and Dick's is well provisioned for any fishing trip you have in store. A bountiful supply of rods, reels, tackle, bait & personal watercraft are displayed to entice a purchase from those tempted to upgrade their equipment.
The gun & ammo section carries rifles, shotguns, bows, crossbows, paintball guns & ammo. No handguns are sold here, however. I believe customers who buy guns and/or ammo have to exit through the dedicated entrance. They will not be allowed to exit & walk through the mall with those items.
Camping supplies galore, with everything from sleeping bags, water purification & stoves to machetes, cookware & freeze-dried meals.
A welcome addition to my hood, the new Dick's Sporting Good can satisfy almost all your sporting needs. The friendly staff were quick to offer assistance & I enjoyed browsing all the sections for possible future gift items, for others & perhaps maybe for me, too...
Read moreIf you’re looking for buffet style customer service this is the place for you. Worst customer service I’ve ever received. My wife, son and I went to DICK’S to purchase some tennis shoes literally shoes for “tennis”. We had previously gone to BIG 5(didn’t have his size), CHAMPS & FOOTLOCKER (don’t even sell shoes for tennis???) and was looking on AMAZON as well. Due to our time constraints we decided on DICK’S. We get there and good luck trying to find someone for help, I had to call the store while in the store’s tennis department 2nd floor to get help on where the tennis shoes were. The gentleman advised me that they don’t sell per say “tennis” shoe but you can go downstairs in the shoe department and look for something like what you need “really…”. To add insult to injury we get to the shoe department and there’s customers standing around needing assistance with shoe size. I had to go out of the shoe area and get someone to help me. At one point while waiting for additional shoe sized I notice a gentleman standing with his arms crossed just looking when he uncrossed his arms I noticed his DICK’S lanyard? I asked do you work here he replied “yes”? I then asked for a shoe size. Wow as I said due to time constraints we ended up purchasing some shoes which were “tennis” shoes funny the gentleman on the phone did not know they even sell “tennis” shoes. Next stop...

I can no longer endure the sports I performed in my youth, I can no longer pivot while dribbling a basketball, or perform fastbreaks like I used to...too much stress on an aging body...however im still maintaining a high level of fitness with bicycling for cardio and weightlifting to maintain muscular strength...and this place even had those things for me...I must admit though I was in the basketball area for quite a bit tempted to buy a basketball and have a go at those old dribbling skills of mine...yes...though getting old...I still got handles...come to this place for all your...
