I came to “Past Meets Present” expecting an antique store, that’s what Google maps said they would be. They are not that at all, but I don’t think they’re trying to be. I would classify it more their store as a bespoke, luxury boutique, catering almost to the “old money” aesthetic. I may not be using the correct words to describe this aesthetic, I am not the target demographic and I am not “in” on what terms would be used. But their aesthetic is clearly very curated, as are the items they sell. The collection reminds me of my grandmother, it is warm and makes me happy in that way. But it is also very disconnected from how I would choose to style myself or what I choose to buy. “Past Meets Present” is not for everyone, but it is very well suited for those that...
Read moreI have been into this store and almost all the others around the east side of Cleveland and I would be interested to here from someone who thinks there is a better curated vintage shop than Past Meets Present. I have purchased for many friends and family in this store as well as buying my last fur coat there and have gotten more compliments than I can count. I also have friends from Cleveland, Chicago, Miami and LA who have all bought from the store with nothing but rave reviews. Items from the very affordable to the most rare pieces you can find(all without the snobby attitude) Mostly women's pieces but occasionally men's as well....
