My second visit is where it went downhill. I was displeased with how my nails were done and let Steven know. He advised he'd explain to the nail tech next time exactly what I was looking for. What I was looking for was for the color of the powder on my nails to be completely opaque, versus my first two times when it was transparent -- likely because they didn't use a base coat which is just bizarre to me, since I've had SNS some other 100 times and have never seen it done without. Who wouldn't want an opaque manicure unless they specified otherwise?
Anyway, from there on out, it has been one sub-par pedicure and terrible SNS job after another. I've had to have them redo it because it's too thick, my nails are uneven, there are bubbles in the top coat, and I always, ALWAYS leave there bleeding on at least one finger.
My last visit was the last straw. I asked for different colors on each finger, which they let me know would be an additional $5 (they actually charged me an additional $5 per hand, not total, which wasn't explained but fine). I asked for a manicure. I didn't get one. When I saw she was about to dip my nails without touching my cuticles, I reminded her I wanted a manicure. She said okay, and then still proceeded to NOT give me a manicure.
When I got to the counter to check out and the woman at the front asked how everything was (Steven was not in this day) I let her know I was displeased. My nails were different lengths, 2 of the 5 colors I'd chosen were dipped unevenly and partially transparent, and my nails were incredible thick and lumpy. She acknowledged they did not look good and grabbed someone else to fix them. By "fix" I mean that she drilled them down, re-dipped them in the WRONG COLORS (ended up with dark pink instead of light and orange instead of peach), and put on the clear coat. She didn't let them dry before doing the clear coat, so the oil ruined it and it had to be redone.
When it was all said and done, their poor job caused me an extra $10 because I felt obligated to tip the woman who spent 25 minutes redoing my nails, on top of the original woman and the one who did my pedicure.
Meanwhile, within 5 days, half my nails were chipped, cracked, and lifting. In my 5+ years of having SNS done this has rarely happened to me and when it does, it's been one nail and it's usually after a full week.
I called and they told me to come in and have it fixed. When I came in the next morning they let me know the only person available to redo my nails was the person who initially did the poor job, which I said was fine. I was going out of town and this was the only chance I had to get them redone. I chose to just go with one color for the sake of time.
I reminded her AGAIN I wanted a manicure and would pay the extra for it. I got no manicure. She did a horrible job. I left with clumpy, uneven nails, with another ruined top coat because she also put on the oil too early. As a result they had to be buffed down again and the clear coat re-applied. So frustrating and a waste of my time, as well as making them even thicker!
While I'm grateful they started over rather than trying to salvage what was terrible to begin with, and didn't make me feel bad about coming back, citing a new product line was likely the culprit of the poor quality work. However, the new work was horrible.
I will...
Read moreI liked this salon initially. My pedicures were not as neat as I'm used to though, and I tried 2 different people. Tommy did my SNS during the 2 visits I paid to this salon and it always turned out beautiful. My problem with this salon was that on my last visit I paid a total of $86.00 for SNS and a pedicure plus tip. When I reviewed my credit card statement a few weeks later I had a charge of $101.00 on my bill. I called them and they guaranteed that they would take care of it. For whatever reason they would not credit my credit card the $15.00 but insisted I come back into the shop for a refund. At the time I was not able to revisit the shop, as it's not very convenient to where I live and I was out of town. They mentioned they would mail it to me, so I accepted this and assumed it was a done deal. Fast forward 2.5 weeks later and still nothing in the mail, I called back and they apologized again and said that it had been mailed and they would fix the issue....fast forward another 2 weeks......still nothing. Put in another call and got more of the same. I basically threw in the towel at this point and called my credit card company to dispute the additional $15.00 charge. I kept my receipt so have proof that I was over charged. $15.00 is not a lot of money, but it's the principle. They overcharged me and should have fixed it. I won't be going back to this salon because of this. It's bad service and they should have credited me right away. I did give it 2 stars because as I mentioned, my SNS always turned...
Read moreI came in today for a pedicure over two hours before close and the whole process felt very rushed and unprofessional. The pedicure lasted no more than twenty minutes from when I sat down, with the nail tech actually working on my nails for no more than fifteen minutes. Note: I did get the basic pedicure with none of the add-ons but still, it was $30 and I believe if you are paying $30 for a pedicure it should last at least half an hour. I’ve paid less and gotten a lot more at other salons.
The nail tech never asked me if I wanted my nails cut down and trimmed them unevenly. He hardly spent any time shaping and filing my nails. They advertised that their basic pedicure included “exfoliating your legs and feet and a massage with hot towels.” The exfoliating included about thirty seconds of rubbing the inside sides of the arches of my feet with the exfoliating sponge (I don’t even have any callouses or dead skin here and it just hurt) with no attention to my legs. The smallest dab of lotion was used on my legs and I guess it was “massaged” on for about fifteen seconds each leg before he washed it off. No foot massage included. Finally, the singular hot towel (hot towels were advertised) that was supposed to be part of the massage was drape over my legs while my toenails were polished, not even wrapped around my feet like other places do. The polish itself was okay- hence why I’m giving two stars instead of one. All together- I left with uneven toe nails, dry feet, and feeling like I...
