The first time I went to Resistance Threads I was rummaging through a $3 bin of clothes with a college student about to graduate. She was looking through the bin for business attire to take with her to New York City after she graduated. We rummaged together a bit, and I pulled out a couple items for her that looked sophisticated, yet comfortable. She added them to her pile thanking me for the help. That connection over a $3 bin not knowing what you might find is what it's all about. Something that would not happen if you did not go out to a store and shop in person with other members of your community. It's why we still need shops willing to provide sustainability, connection, and truly one-of-a-kind items hand-picked by someone who cares about the customers that walk through the door.
