OVERALL RATING 4/10
Here is my review: On October 2, 2025, I went to YEAH BBQ. Upon entering, the restaurant has approximately 13 tables for seating. Speaking of tables, this restaurant used to be a Hot-Pot establishment. So when we sat down, we immediately noticed the table cloth conveniently covering all the bumps and unevenness of the disabled hot-pot warmers. The place was completely empty besides employees. Floors, bathrooms, and tables were clean. I must say the music is extremely loud for the space it occupies. Our server, who was a nice young lad, handed us one iPad menu tablet for our orders. By using one iPad for one table, ordering seemed extremely time consuming as the tablet is being passed over and over throughout the table. I believe you are due for a QR Code at each table; thus eliminating that tablet issue. On the topic of menu, many of the items were “Sold Out”, which was frustrating. Ordered a pop and a water; and they came out with a can of pop and a bottle water. The service of food could be touched upon a bit; especially with timing of food. This establishment delivers skewers and greens on one plate at a time type deal. So if you order 5 different skewers, they do not all come out at once; it’s a eat as you go. The reason I mention this, my last skewer came out 10 minutes later after we were done and ready to go. Not good timing. Though the restaurant is dead, I did notice many take-out drivers. As far as the food, I ordered the Grilled Enoki, Mantou, BBQ Tofu Skewer, Banana Prawn, BBQ Chives, Roasted mushroom Skewers, Vermicelli Scallop. The items listed were tasty, but there were faults that I feel you should know. The lamb had an excessive amount fat chunks in it. Either the restaurant is purchasing low quality lamb, or they are not trimming the fat properly. Do better. My other point that caught my interest was the heat index of the food. I ordered the food medium spicy. In order to accomplish the desired heat index, the chef thought it was a good idea to put crushed red pepper flakes and seeds on each dish. This is not a good cooking technique, as each dish will have the same flavor and, most importantly; when ordering hotter food, the chef just increases the amount of crushed pepper and pepper flakes on your dish. So if a customer orders a real hot dish, they just dump hot seeds on your food. Not good. I suppose staff saw me taking photos of the food and establishment for my review, as I was greeted with free lamb and beef skewers, along with a tasteful berry drink. I do appreciate the kind gesture of free food as a food reviewer, however; I cannot and will not be persuaded to deviate from my loyal fans in not giving a honest review. I have attached my photos for your review. And as always, I have attached...
