A very sweet bakery. It’s small but tastefully decorated, with cute touches like snowflakes on the mini fridge. It has picnic-like chairs and a cozy atmosphere you feel the moment you step in. I tried a lemon tart and a chocolate one. They were both beautifully made, with impeccable shells and cream applied in a sleek, flawless layer on top, with the lemon tart having an elegant green decoration placed atop. The lemon tart was delicious and was truly what you’d call refreshing as it zanged on your tongue. The lemon cream was smooth, cool, and tangy, just as it should be, and the tart shell was sweet and crumbly, rather like shortbread. The tart shell of the chocolate one was the same, but the cream was quite bitter, which caused me to knock off a star, sadly. Also, the employee was polite. I would recommend this place to others and will come again. I may change the review to a five-starrer if the previous issue is fixed when I order a...
Read moreI love this place. The first time I went here, I was half-crazed from hunger and heat and was in dire need of a place with AC and something with calories. I went into the store and bought two tarts - the strawberry and mixed berry - partially because I felt too awkward to buy one. I then left the store and walked back to my apartment. In the hot sun (still a bit dizzy from the heat) I took the first bite and I literally ascended. By the time I had realized that I was eating both were gone..... I then went back the next day and bought four tarts to check if my passion was from delusion or because of flavor and I was not disappointed. I ate all four, with a full stomach and a blissful mind. My only regret is that I didn't buy more before I moved away... best tarts I've ever had (including the ones I had abroad)... I want them again....
Edit: I WENT BACK!! My dad (who hates sweets) said "not too sweet" and ate two of them (he...
Read moreIf I could rate the tart and the coffee separately, I would give the tart 3 stars and the coffee 5. The coffee was incredibly rich, strong, and delicious. The tart is very crust heavy. The crust tastes like one that doesn't get baked, so it doesn't have that caramelization you're hoping for. The custard in the center was so light and airy it was hard to taste. I got the strawberry cheesecake one. If the crust were half as thick or perhaps baked or sweetened more, these would be...
