I absolutely love this place! Kayla is my go to gal when it comes to getting a fresh, clean cut for a reasonable price! I used to live in New York with my husband and we would go to salons because we never quite felt comfortable going to barber shops and we would pay the ridiculous Salon price for a subpar haircut. But this place is something special. Not only is it a relaxed environment but the people that work here are professional yet relatable. I have had great conversations with Kayla in the past when she used to work at another shop and I was beyond thrilled that she decided to open a place of her own. Unlike other barber shops in the area who tend to only cut styles that they are familiar with, which let's be honest are on the older side, the Barbers here are familiar with traditional and up-to-date on trendy styles. That being said for the time being it is a cash-only business but that's because they are just starting out so do keep that in mind! The location has so much potential and I'm looking forward to seeing the place upgrade over time! They are located literally to the left of the theater which is right next to the parking complex so it makes it a very short commute on foot. I know there are a lot of places to choose from but implore you to give this place a shot. You won't regret it! I certainly didn't! And this is coming from a person who agonizes over getting his haircut and is extremely picky! I spent 3 hours looking online for a great place to get a cut when I first arrived here in Champaign! Before visiting this barbershop, I had taken my son to other barbers in the area, and they have all messed my son's hair up. When I scheduled the appointment, I asked Patrick if he knew how to cut black hair and he said "yes." When my son and I arrived at the barbershop, we were skeptical about Patrick cutting my son's hair. As I watched him cut, I must admit that he exceed my expectations. He did such an amazing job on my son's hair. When he finished, he had me thinking that maybe I asked the wrong barber if they knew how to cut black hair.
