The medical school nearby has now used this venue for two prom style events. Both times have been elegant, wonderful experiences, and in the year between the first and second event, they added significant improvements. These included beautiful color LED lighting, a PA system sufficient for speeches or light music, and access to what was previously a stage for theater. The hardwood stage makes for an excellent dance floor, saving the need to rent out expensive and labor-intensive dance floors. Both years had approximately 150 guests though I reckon the venue would be comfortable for cocktail style celebrations ranging from 100 to 200 guests. The owner Chris is reasonable and enjoys acquiring elegant furniture. The manager Amanda is efficient and experienced in logistics planning. The audio visual support Doug is very personable and creative. Our on-site contact Lauren was calm presence who provided quick solutions throughout the evening. Words can't describe!!! My wife and I had the most beautiful wedding at The Orpheum and we cannot thank this group enough for making our day so magical! We had looked at several vendors across Illinois and this was by far not only the best location, the perfect size, but also most affordable! Not to be too dramatic but Oh My God they were fantastic!!!! Amanda, our primary coordinator was so helpful with every detail leading up to the wedding. She really helped us nail down those details I wouldn't have even thought about! Chris and the crew worked so hard on ensuring everything was set up properly and Lauren was a fantastic day-of coordinator.

The Orpheum was PERFECT for our wedding reception! It is a gorgeous building, inside and out, with many unique areas for guests to mingle and stunning photo ops. There’s ample space for 200+ guests. We used the stage as the dance floor and catering prep (separated by pipe & drape). Doug lit the stage, theater and lobby beautifully. Amanda, the venue manager, made the logistics easy to navigate and was great in working with all of our people. We also found the owner, Chris, to be very responsive and easy to work with.
