I am very saddened today. I have been a customer since 2001 and have never been told or had a problem with picking my art pieces up. Today, I went to pick up a piece and was told it was already "gotten rid of. All of a sudden, I was told that they get rid of" pieces after approximately a month. It was barely a month since we painted and my daughter's piece is gone. The girl brushed us off and said well, just repaint it. My daughter, who is autistic, had a meltdown because her piece was gone. This is not very good customer service. All the employees either need to make this "rule" known to their customers and keep better track of what was "gotten rid of" and the date that it was gone. I will have to think twice before I decide whether I will frequent this establishment again. This is a special treat for my daughter and I. Since we live 45 minutes away, it isn't easy for us to just swing by and pick up our pieces. Never thought they would get thrown out, at least not as soon as it was gone. We came in a few days ago and spent about 3 hours there in total and put a lot of effort into our pieces. When we came to pick them up today we were told that for some reason they couldnāt find one of them. Keep in mind we already paid for it, and the studio fee, AND a $20 tip on top of that. How do you āmisplaceāsomething like that?? I can only assume it was given out to someone else by mistake or broken by the staff. Again, donāt understand how that happens when our initials are literally under all of the pieces. The only other reason I can think of is that the gal up front didnāt want to look any harder and actually help. When I went in to pick it up, with my receipt (and a picture!), the girls working that day were very apologetic that they couldnāt find it and said a manager would call me the next day. No one called. I called back two days later...they said itās not there, another customer must have taken it by mistake. I am sure what they meant is WE gave it to another costumer. I understand thereās nothing they can do to get it back, it just shouldnāt have happened in the first place. I am extremely disappointed in this location. My daughter spent over 2 hours there with a friend painting her piece. They did not even refund my money I spent there, just a āgift certificateā in the amount I already paid.
