My recent visit to Manna BBQ was a delightful culinary adventure. The meal started with traditional Korean kimchi dishes, good size of green salad, a refreshing prelude to the savory dishes to come. The star of the dish was undoubtedly the yangnyum galbi - perfectly marinated short ribs that were tender and bursting with flavor. The teriyaki chadol (thinly sliced brisket) was a close second, its sweet and savory glaze complementing the beef beautifully. For those seeking a unique experience, the beef tongue and nuk gan sal (beef skirt meat) offered interesting textures and rich tastes. The Manna steak, joomuluk, was perfection and melted in my mouth. What truly elevated the experience was our waitress, Regina. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she offered excellent recommendations tailored to our preferences. Overall, Manna BBQ offered an authentic Korean BBQ experience with high-quality meats and exceptional service. Regina's expertise and friendly demeanor make her a standout member of the staff, we really enjoyed the atmosphere and all meat here.

Told the server it was our first time here. She totally disregarded me and my wife and left tableware and walked away. Came back asked us what we wanted, I reiterated that it was our first time and we didn’t know how it worked. She said you get the choice of four meats that are all you can eat. I said what about the appetizers listed above no no that does not apply to you. You just order meat but what if I wanted some of the size? Is it OK to order some of that? She said nothing so I ordered two steaks, fresh shrimp and octopus that’s what my wife chose when I proceeded to pick what I wanted, she rudely interrupted me and said you only get four in my head. I’m like you could’ve told me that it’s only two choices per person and then we can order more but she didn’t do that. She rarely checked on us. We asked for water she came back to our section 3 or four times before providing water we asked for more napkins. She forgot about that as well. My wife said you know what I’ve had enough. Let’s go oh and I forgot when she set up our table with our grill she turned it down to the lowest setting, so we’re wondering, why is everyone else table smoking and ours is barely getting hot again this was our first time she turned it up. Finally got the grill going as I stated before my wife said she was ready to go. I then proceeded to go to ask for a manager at the front counter. The lady at the front counter said she was the manager I explained to her I’m willing to pay for my food in the beverages that we ordered. My wife was not able to eat as the grill was not up. The service was bad and there was also the still left in her fresh shrimp. I guess it was really fresh. I told her about the server she said OK let me go speak to the server. She came back to the table to say hey instead of just eating all your food say something ahead of time regardless of when I spoke about the experience, the customer is always right and my wife said no that’s not how we’re gonna do this. We’re gonna stop this and cut it short right now. I paid the bill and we got out of here. I will never step foot in this...

So here I am walking in, never been to a Korean bbq before, excited to try something new. We tell host table for two please and thank you, she walks us over and points to the table, we thought she was just tired and thought nothing of it. We were then greeted by our server. Got drinks like normal, and we order our AYCE items, I eat a lot and I got judgement from my server. “We charge for leftovers”. I acknowledged it and agreed that it was fine, (we ate EVERYTHING), so the judgement and looks was not even worth it. Brings me to my next point, the food. The food was BLAND, no seasoning. I flagged down a server respectfully (crystal), and I politely asked if there was any seasoning. She then said rudely “no this is a Korean bbq style restaurant, everything is already marinated, you cook it then dip it in sauce the sauce has flavor”. I just said okay and she walked away. After eating, knowing my food was cooked properly as I cook all the time at home and professionally, I had the sudden urge to go to the bathroom, so I go. Next thing I know Niagara Falls is coming out of my ass and sat there for 10 minutes. I know I got food poisoning… went back to table and told friend I had got food poisoning and she started to feel sick too. I then had to go to the bathroom a second time and a third time of me unleashing Niagara Falls in that bathroom. I apologize about the bathroom, but I had food poisoning and it’s gotta come out somehow. I didn’t want to cause an issue and paid and left.

Overall, staff was rude, food was bland, and it came with a complimentary side of food poisoning. STAY AWAY :(

Never going back, this location ruined...

I went to this location of Manna BBQ in chandler this past weekend. We came in as a group of 3 with a toddler. We were seated immediately which was great and we requested a seat booster or high chair for our toddler, one of the workers said there wasn’t any available, which is fine, however when walking back to the table there was a whole stack of both high chairs and boosters. We came for the all you can eat deal, self cooking obviously since it’s K-BBQ, music was good, atmosphere was good. We had to call out to the workers walking by to request more dishes, etc. After we paid in cash and were walking out to leave one of the workers yelled at us and chased us from the inside all the way to the door yelling “Hey! No tip!” She had the receipt in her hand and a pen and asked if there was something wrong. I told her nothing was wrong and proceeded to walk away. She continued to follow us asking again why we left no tip. I told her that everything was good and I just felt like since it was a self-serve cook atmosphere and no one really came in to check on us during our visit because we had to look out for any worker to flag down to bring us additional dishes, I personally felt like not leaving a tip. I know the topic of tipping is controversial however I always give a tip based on service and the attention to detail from the worker(s) making us as customers feel comfortable. The worker coming out from inside yelling at us demanding a tip made me absolutely not want to go to this specific...
