Nestled in a charming locale, this establishment boasts a very professional and welcoming staff that sets a friendly tone from the moment you step through the door. The atmosphere is inviting, marked by a clean and well-kept interior that enhances the overall dining experience. However, it’s worth noting that there was a slightly off-putting smell at the front entrance, which detracted from the otherwise pleasant ambiance. It’s unclear whether this odor stemmed from inside or outside, but it is something that the management might want to investigate.
The menu is impressively extensive, featuring a delightful array of goodies that range from crepes to cinna-cakes. I opted for the avocado toast with scrambled eggs on the side, as well as the cinna-cakes pancakes, accompanied by an espresso. The espresso was well-prepared, though I felt the large plate it was served on didn’t quite match the dainty look of the espresso itself. In terms of flavor, it was decent but fell short of expectations, earning a score of 3/5. The taste leaned towards that of an Americano, lacking the rich depth one typically desires from a good espresso. It was unfortunate that there was no brown sugar available to enhance the drink.
The cleanliness of the utensils was commendable, and the waitress was not only polite but also exuded professionalism, adding to the overall positive experience.
Moving onto the cinna-cakes, while the presentation was less appealing compared to the enticing photo on the menu, the flavor was notably better, garnering a strong 4/5. The sweetness was a tad overwhelming, and a better balance could elevate this dish to a solid 5/5.
As for the avocado toast, it was rather unremarkable, rating a 3/5. Although the bread had a pleasant taste as soon as it touched my palate, it was dry and had a slightly burnt texture. The scrambled eggs presented an interesting flavor profile — perhaps due to a unique spice or high-quality oil used in cooking. While they were plain in appearance, they packed a flavorful punch, earning a 4/5, though again, the presentation left something to be desired.
I also ordered a matcha with a hint of vanilla, and much to my delight, it was served hot and was exceptionally well-balanced.
On a positive note, the establishment offers military and veterans discounts and does not display any anti-2A signs, which could appeal to a broader audience. The prices were reasonable given the quality of the food and service.

Read moreA place I can find some good eggs benedict is usually a win for me and the Broken Yolk definitely came through with some. I drove over from the west valley this week to spend some time with my daughter and we are always on the look out for a new breakfast spot. I was pleased to be not only be greeted right away, but also no wait to be seated. Our server was kind and gave us some time to look over the menu. I liked how many options their menu had. From savory to sweet they had it all including healthy options. Of course as I said I came for the benedict. Seven different options for that matter! Best part is they had a choose two option where you could pick one of each to try. It was a tough choice but I went with the Golden State that comes with bacon, avocado, and sriracha. My second was the classic with ham and grilled tomato. They come with a few side options and I chose fresh fruit today. Their hash browns looked yummy but I was not in the mood for that much food. I know, who even am I? My daughter ordered the biscuits and gravy with bacon and hash browns. Everything came out fairly quick, but we did take a while to order so I was starving by the time it came. Everything looked so good and tasted even better. The hollandaise sauce was the perfect consistency. I hate when it's too runny. So full of flavor and the sriracha added an awesome kick. My classic was delicious as well and the tomato grilled perfect and not soggy. The ham was good size and thick. The fruit was very fresh and so good. My daughter enjoyed her biscuits and gravy. She had to take some home because the portion was pretty big. If you're brave they even offer a 12 egg omelette. If you can manage to eat it all it's free and you get a T-shirt. The decor was what you'd typically find in somewhere like this. A lot of windows which brought some nice light in. Cozy booths as well as tables. They also offer lunch options, coffee etc. The parking lot is large and no problems finding a space or getting in and...
Read moreThis is got to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had while at a restaurant let alone the most embarrassing. I, as an African-American woman, I came in, anticipating a very warm, welcoming and pleasant experience. The hostess completely ignored the fact that I was waiting to be seated even went as far as not even acknowledging me In any capacity. A simple hi how are you doing? Would’ve been nice. The fact that she seen me standing there looking directly at her, and she continue to seek guess that we’re behind me around me, and those coming through the door Is disgusting behavior. As guests came in as if I was not standing there. I just shifted to a different position location assuming that she would see me. She completely walked by me and continue to ignore me and seat other guest. And the sad part is that other Employees also came in and noticed this, and did not even ask if I’ve been helped yet, and proceeded to help other people as well. If I didn’t know better, I would say that this is a common behavior at this location. I waited for about 10 to 15 minutes before I ask to speak to a manager. If you are of African-American I highly recommend that you avoid this location. Even the expression on my white counterparts faces was in disbelief that she was actually doing this. I wasn’t nasty I wasn’t disrespectful. I was just waiting Patiently quietly, and she even went as far as to even avoid making eye contact with me. The most disgusting part of this experience is that If you have a bias, it may be smart to avoid a customer service environment where your expressions your actions are highly visible, offensive and impactful, especially if your tactic is avoidance and humiliation publicly. This entire organization will never see a...
