Latest update 7/21/25: We wanted a quick but quality meal, close to home. Obviously, there are lots of options in the area. It was just after 4 pm so we decided to head to Texas Roadhouse and beat the dinner rush.
We were seated right away and Kaitlyn was our server. She was wonderful! The perfect mix of friendly, helpful, and just the right amount of attention so that we could enjoy our meal but if we needed anything we could get it right away.
As always a manager came out to check on us. I feel like a jerk because I forgot her name... Celia? Celina? (Sorry, girl! I should've written it down so I'd remember to write a review!) But she was super kind and seemed like she truly cared about us having a good experience. After this visit, we felt like this location has really upped its customer service game. We appreciate that!
Our overall experience today was great and makes us happy to come back to this location in the future.
Oh! The food! The food was awesome today! Rolls were fresh, salmon and steak were perfect, and I got the add on of ribs with my salmon. I have never had ribs here before and I feel like I've been missing out! I didn't get BBQ sauce... I get them naked. They were so tender they just fell off the bone. I will absolutely be back for ribs soon!
Old review: We eat here quite a bit and the food is always great. Unfortunately, this time didn't work out at all. Normally, I use the app to check in, but today the Google map graph said it was no wait so I didn't. Boy was that a mistake. When we arrived, we were told there would be a 30-40 minute wait. Of course we weren't excited about that, but figured it wasn't the end of the world. I stayed at the hostess station to give our name, number, etc... while my boyfriend sat down in the waiting area. The hostess took all my info then told me that we were not allowed to wait inside... We'd have to leave and wait outside or in our car. It's 100 degrees outside. š š¤£ š I don't think I've ever been to a restaurant that requires you to wait outside, and certainly not in 100 degrees! Needless to say, we canceled and went to another restaurant. We will probably not be back until the weather is better for standing outside. Across the street, we were seated before I was even done writing this review. Thanks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Texas Roadhouse. I eat at one of their locations across the valley and out of state locations at least once a week and have been for the last 20 plus years. If I'm traveling and I'm hungry, don't know where to go eat I always fall back on Texas Roadhouse. Birthdays, holidays or any type of celebration I go to the Roadhouse. The location at 3961 South Gilbert road has always been my favorite in the valley. The steaks have always been perfectly cooked, the seating fairly quickly and service has always been an 8 out of 10 or better. It pains me to say this but I went in for dinner a few days ago and the most awful thing happened. I ordered my food and then went to the restroom to wash my hands. While I was in the restroom waiting for the people in front of me to use the sink, we heard the worst bowel movement coming from the stall. Then we heard the toilet flush and watched one of the kitchen employees walk past us out the door and back to the kitchen WITH OUT washing his hands. After washing my hands I walked back to my seat and requested the manager. I then explained what had just happened, canceled my meal and the manager walked me to the rear so I could point out the employee. It ended up being a cook! The manager assured me that the employee would be written up and no longer be allowed to handle customer food. Then today I was in the mood for a steak so I went to my favorite location, 3961 South Gilbert road again. After being seated I made my way back towards the restroom and peaked into the kitchen. That same employee was on the grill making steaks! I immediately lost my appetite and walked out. On my way to my vehicle I decided I would never eat at any Texas Roadhouse location again and I am writing this review so that hopefully others don't eat there and get sick. It's my opinion that Texas Roadhouse needs to change their hiring or training procedures or both. I will be filling a complaint with the health board as well. I can't believe the manager would allow that person on the grill or to handle food. The employee and manager should both be terminated for unsanitary food preparation at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could leave 0 stars for this location I would. My husband and I always come to this location as it is the closest one to our home. The service is always ok and the food is usually good! This time was very different our server was so professional and friendly. I always order the same thing when I go which is the 6oz steak with fries and a Caesar salad. My husband for the first time ordered a Caesar salad as well as a steak and ribs with mash potatoes. We received our Caesar salads first and my husband started eating his food after taking his first bite he noticed a HAIR in the middle of his salad so I lost my appetite immediately after seeing. We called our server over she immediately requested the manager ((ANDY)). As he approached our table I could see the frustration on his face as if we planted the hair or it was a bs lie. He offered to remake the salads. I advised him I would not be having another salad as I feel they are made in one big bowl. He assured me that they are made individually to order. Which I feel is a lie because Iāve watched videos on how they are prepared. I have been in the restaurant business for 5 years as well. My husband requested a chili instead. Andy brings back the chili with a hand full of red onions I donāt believe we asked for extra red onions or any onions at all and then he threw the bowl in front of my husband and stormed off. My husband was pissed but I had to remind him we are out with our kids and we need to keep calm. I just feel like that was so unprofessional as I came with the intent to pay for a meal HAIR FREE. I then contacted the corporate office and they said the DM would give me a call surprise surprise it was Andy who sent me an email with a free Appetizer for all my troubles. He sent this email from a no reply email. I would have kindly asked him to take that back and shove it. But instead Iāll give him a 1 star review. Thank you Andy for making it right for the customer you did not do your job very well. Or you just didnāt take the situation seriously. I hope this...
