GameStop — Local services in Channelview

I know all of the criticisms regarding Gamestop and their service and the fact that they buy a game from you for 10 dollars then sell it at 40-50 dollars on their shelves. And there was a time when I could tolerate these things.

However when I went there last week, I wanted to buy the Mass Effect Trilogy (new) for the Xbox since one of my Mass Effect disks won't work. I put a warranty on it just in case and sure enough, the new disk didn't work. I went back to swap the Trilogy for another system or at the very least get my money back but they said they could only give me another game with the same system and since it was "opened", they couldn't give me a refund.

For the record, the game was already opened when a sales associate, a young attractive woman, opened the case to examine the disks. It didn't even have a plastic wrap over it like all new games come with. Long story short, I had to pay for a completely new game, making me spend at least a hundred bucks total that day.

To add insult to injury, I traded in Mass Effect 2 and 3 earlier that week (both perfectly good AAA titles) and they only gave me 9 dollars for it. Even the person serving me looked at her screen in shock.

I apologize for the length of my rant but I want to warn people, especially gamers like myself, who are unaware of Gamestop's horrible services to be wary shopping at this exact Gamestop store or any Gamestop...

So I'm not the person that usually writes reviews but this was a little rude and the little uncalled for. I went in at 8:55... Yes I know 9 o clock your closed. But I get off at 8:30 and I just came in to pre-order Far Cry 5 which will only take 5 minutes tops. Instead the guy kicks me and my coworker out saying he was on the way to lock the door but he didn't lock it yet, But he was at the counter when we walked in I told him I wanted to preorder something real quick he said "too bad but we're open tomorrow" which I told him I work until the same time but he proceeded to kick us out and also to add there was still customers inside looking around while he proceeded to kick us out I just think that's completely...

Worst Experience Ever! I preordered the Pokémon Scarlet/Violet for the midnight release & no one showed up. I was outside waiting for 20+ mins until I decided that it was time to go home. If I would've known that I wasn't going to receive my copy at midnight I would've just purchased through the E-Shop but instead I wanted a physical copy which the employee confirmed over the phone and in person that it was guaranteed happening at 12am November 18. This is outrageous and I do expect GameStop to own up to this issue and...
