Hands down the best hibachi we’ve ever had, and we’re from Asia! Food was cooked perfectly (we ordered the medium rare teppanyaki steak) with just the right amount of seasoning, and super delicious from the fried rice to the steak and vegetables. Chef (Hidalgo?) really brought his A game to the table. He was professional and entertaining at the same time. We really enjoyed ourselves, and we could tell that everyone else was having a great time too!
Our server, Frank, was also exceptional. He anticipated our needs and served us everything we wanted without having to ask. He was thorough, attentive, and polite throughout our meal.
He did say that we’ll have to wait for the Chef after we were seated, so we ordered a sushi roll to eat while waiting. However, before the roll was served, the chef already arrived so we wanted to cancel the roll. He said that the roll was already prepared but he can cancel it anyway, so that was really nice of him. What we didn’t expect was that he served the sushi roll anyway and told us we can still eat it or bring it home but we won’t get charged for it. That was definitely a pleasant surprise!
Thank you for the wonderful experience, Shogun! Definitely recommend everyone to come. I wish I could give you...
Read moreWe made our 1st ever visit on Friday 03/19/21 @ 7pm. We were greeted kindly by the hostess and sat immediately. The booth we were sat in was wobbly and loose. The floors needed sweeping and many tables had napkins under the legs. We were greeted within 10 minutes by our waitress. She was very kind and friendly. Appetizer ordered: Pan Fried Dumpling - 2/10 because they were deep fried and crispy. Egg Rolls - 2/10 Equivalent to store bought frozen.
Sushi ordered: Boston Roll - 9/10 Houston Roll - 8/10 Smoked Salmon Sashimi - 5/10 Shaggy Dog - 8/10 Hot Momma - 7/10 Marilyn Monroll - 5/10
After our sushi was delivered the restaurant got real busy and we didn't see our waitress at all. I had to go to bar to order additional drinks. No fault to the waitress this is a management problem. We sat in the center of restaurant and the smoke from the hibachi grills engulfed the entire dinning room several times. We had watery eyes throughout dinner and left smelling of smoke. The overall atmosphere and patrons dress attire is not what I am accustomed to when dinning out for sushi. This is a casual family restaurant.
I would go back for a casual lunch or dinner but not for a...
Read moreI have never felt compelled to review a place before, simply if I don't like it I just never return. My visit here was not a great experience. Walked in the door, and I actually had to go look for someone to go sit us after standing at the greeting area for 10 mins. (Not exagerating.place only had two waitresses who were busy I and a guy that looked like the manager just chilling by the bar. He's the one I had to go ask if we could go sit down.) Sushi we ordered was not that good. For a place like this I expected way more quality be honest. (Sushi at Osaka is always great), expected similar quality.) The grill show was underwhelming, and when It came time to get served, I received so little rice I had to pay to get a second order of rice. ( Cook did not know how to distribute the food properly.) Osaka grill is just down the street, we decided to go here to try out, but I pay 10 bucks less for better quality food at Osaka grill. We ordered exact same thing as Osaka grill and literally payed 10$ bucks extra. Just kinda P.O.d that I payed $40 bucks for a very undecent meal. Save your money, or spend it...
