ABSOLUTELY AMAZING....is the least I can say about my 4-day private yoga session with this wonderful yoga teacher M/s. Vidya Shankar. This is a note of gratitude to my Yoga Guru, not just a feedback.
Thank-you for welcoming me with a namaskaar and warm smile every morning. Thank-you for setting the space so beautifully and the mood so perfect with music and the right temperature to break some sweat. Thank-you for thoughtfully asking before each session about any body discomforts or aches and providing the apt solutions. Thank-you for walking me through the whole process of Surya Kriya, Nadi Shuddhi and Isha Kriya with a strong sense of calmness, peace and tranquility. Thank-you for the various tips and techniques to improve flexibility, the stretches for the sore muscles and for recommending highly beneficial massage for a stiff body. Thank-you for answering all queries any time with a lot of love and patience. And I thank God for blessing me with such a kind and passionate yoga instructor with amazing energy.
I don't know why I waited so long to try Yoga. It is challenging but with clear instructions from my Yoga Guru, I feel stronger and deeply relaxed and can observe noticeable differences in my body and spirit.
Anyone still hesitant about starting yoga, I vouch for my Guru M/s. Vidya Shankar, she's great to start with. Her dedication and knowledge about yoga is superior, her attention to detail is impeccable, her perception to help students correct and improve is unmatched. She is both friendly and professional, precise and flexible and you are sure to feel at ease and comfort with such a gentle personality.

Venue: The studio was large, and Vidya made sure to follow Covid protocols to keep it very clean. The space was calming and serene. Vidyaâs calligraphy on the black board, started the morning with positive affirmations. Vidya - Guru It was a true blessing to have Vidya as my Guru for this Surya Kriya session. She was articulate, calm and extremely patient. She explained the asanas and body alignment so clearly that I was able to understand my body and visualize the alignment for myself within a few days. This was absolutely amazing. The Class: Having attended Vidyaâs class, I can confidently say that I am beginning to understand the energy within me and body / mind awareness and alignment. Sadhguruâs talk excerpts, the yoga asanas video, the explanation of mistakes and corrections was immensely valuable. I was extremely sore on the second day of class and was a little inhibited. But walking in and being in Vidyaâs presence made me completely calm and my body had forgotten the soreness completely. Learnings Having a guru who is dedicated, committed to the cause and teaches you with patience is especially important for a yoga student. Vidya was all this and more. The body and mind have to be in sync to do the asanas the right way and I noticed that my body was energized after the session and not tired.

   Read moreDoing these Isha practices every day is really great. It burns up my past karma so that only that which is good and convenient happens to me. I'm always so happy and euphoric and full of energy. I notice that the new and full moons bring intense energy. My body is becoming strong, flexible, and healthy. Everything in life is so easy now. I have been alone in the forest for 7 months now. Every day, usually in the morning, I do Surya Namaskar, Surya Kriya, Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya, and Invocations. At sunset, or later if needed, I do chanting of Brahmananda Swarupa, Yoga Yoga Yogeshwaraya, and Nirvana Shatakam, and the invocations. I started doing Isha practices a little over two years ago, I noticed early on that Sadhguru and other masters that I know of are always with me trying to wake me up, and sometimes I wake up for a little bit, but then I just sleep this side. I'm trying to wake up. Yoga sure is helping. This is just creation, we are doing it because we want to, because it's brilliant. So everybody better give yoga a try, and it works better every day.
