After having a very emotional time at the doctor's office I had to pick up prescriptions at the nearest Walgreens. To start off with, the ladies in the pharmacy at this Walgreens were very nice and obviously under staffed and a bit stressed. I arrived at 6:30pm and stood in line for about 15 minutes, entering the line I already had someone telling me they had been waiting here for a while. I try to be pretty patient in these situations mainly because I understand how it feels to have a busy workload and having to be understaffed. After talking to one of the women at the counter she asked me to wait in the waiting area and my name would be called on the intercom. I sat down and watched how many people were unhappy with waiting in line, being skipped, and waiting so long for flu vaccines. Again, I just had a pretty intense doctors visit and coming here I just wanted my medication and to go. After waiting for over an hour and a half my name was still not called, every single person that was behind me in line was gone with their medications at this point. I stood in line again and asked if my medications were ready yet. The girl at the counter apologized for the wait and I understood completely, but she then stated I would have to wait a bit longer until the medications were available. Finally after waiting another 10-15 minutes she called me up and stated she could only fill one medication because my other one had "disappeared" from the computer, she saw it before and then it was gone. At this time my patience was depleted. The medication that disappeared was the most important one I needed, she stated 2-3 times it had just vanished. Soooo.... what am I supposed to do at this point? I've waited for over an hour and a half (8:15pm) at this point and I do not even live near this area and I was just told my script just vanished from the computer? She then tried to bring it up on another computer and found it, but what if she hadn't?? What was I supposed to do then?? She filled the scripts and then told me the cost for one was $20 when my doctor had said it was only supposed to be $5 - I am not blaming anyone for this issue, but this was the worst pharmacy experience I have had all together. These women were nice and apologetic, but whoever is doing the hiring/scheduling must know how HIGHLY UNDERSTAFFED THEY WERE. I was not the only upset customer in the building and honestly made my night...
Read moreIf you were wondering how clowns run a pharmacy you found it!! Over the past year I have seen some new faces which is reflected in their down hills service. I live close by and frequently use them. After one year “this was the last time”. I am done. They also do not accept ANY responsibility and take an insulting nonchalant approach. Some recent issues: 1. Waiting 30 min. to have my 2 prescription ready. Only to have one prescription filled. When I pointed out to them, without taking any responsibility, they tell me I have to wait another 30 min. is a very insulting nonchalant way. 2. They are frequently “CLOSED” due to “pharmacist having an emergency”? I am not kidding; they just shut it down for no reason a couple of days at a time. Yesterday 6/30/2022 and today 7/1/2022 they are closed! Not even a staff to do paper work!! 3. I have a pain medication, that I need a.s.a.p. But they are closed!! I call another branch, they said this Walgreen have not even put my prescription in the system, so I cannot even get it from any other pharmacy! This means they randomly have “emergency closing” a couple of days at a time, they take your prescription “HOSTAGE” so you cannot fil your prescription from any other branch. When their “pharmacist” has an emergency (which is very frequent) they do not put any staff to transfer your prescription to another pharmacy; so make sure, not only they screw you, but have your prescription HOSTAGE so they come back from their “EMERGEC!Y” they do not loose you business$$$. Suspiciously, most of the sudden closings are right before or after a long holiday, e.g. this 6/30/2022-7/1/2022, is right before the 4th of July holiday. Despicable! I wish I could give ZERO stars. You see in other comments that these clowns have a lot of...
Read moreI have had issues with this pharmacy on and off over the years, but today was by far the worst! My prescriptions somehow were changed to mail order, and by the time I noticed, I was too close to running out to wait for delivery. Had to call Walgreens mail order (their chat wasn’t working), on hold for 30 minutes, they pulled order and transferred me to the (wrong location!) local Walgreens. On hold again, explained situation and they said I had no refills left, which of course made no sense since they had been in process previously with mail order. Then they said I needed a new prescription from my doctor because it can’t be transferred from mail order to local by me or vice versa. What!? I had it filled locally last month - how did they end up as mail order? The whole conversation became so ridiculous and I thought I was going to lose my mind!! They then wanted ME to call my doctor and get a brand new prescription because they couldn’t figure out how to fill it - sure, at 4pm on a Friday…. Then they HUNG UP!! I called back, on hold, then passed around and eventually they ended up calling my doctor while I was on hold. They said they’d fill my prescriptions by the end of the day, but so far I have not received an automated message, and the mail order mess-up is still in the app, which makes no sense. I might just have to drive there and waste time waiting until I have my...
