The first time I went here I did a table massage, and it was fine. I ended up hurting but figured it was my fault for not saying it was too hard. I trusted them enough to come back.
Just had the absolute worst waxing experience I have ever had in my life. I asked for my underarms to be done, and I had to stop her before it was done because it was incredibly painful. Mind you, this is not my first time waxing my underarms. Why did she use SOFT WAX??? You’re supposed to use hard wax! She was going over each underarm like 10-15x and each time was super painful, more than I’ve ever experienced. She said she was “almost done” but there was enough hair that I didn’t want to go through another 10 tries of the strips and I left. She just put lotion on it and I’m pretty sure her strategy was just to tweeze the rest but she was getting skin. That underarm is bleeding. Absolutely stay away from their waxing services because they do not know what they are doing. I am so upset. I am in pain. I’m sure it could lead to infection considering she was blowing on the wax and I’m bleeding. Learn how to properly wax before offering it as a...
Read moreI came to this place to get a massage for my birthday and I hate to say that I am agitated by my experience. It was my second time coming to this spa, as I had a great experience my first go-round and thought they were worthy enough to try again. My second time was way different than my first, as I kept telling my masseuse that she was doing my massage too hard during my hour and did not listen. When it was time for me to pay for my services... not only was I harassed, but I was pretty much forced to give her a tip! Of course, I never mind tipping for my services when I've had a great experience but this wasn't the case. Unfortunately, I did not get the masseuse's name but I do remember her face. I wasn't going to write a review but as I am preparing to go to bed my upper back is extremely sore and I shouldn't been in pain after a massage; even more, I want to say something in hopes that it could save the next person!!
I will add that the owner did give my tip back, which I appreciate; however, after the way my body is feeling, I’m not so sure I should’ve even went through with...
Read moreI love the massages from this spa!! I have a high pain tolerance, so I like deep deep very deep pressure table massages, and my favorite therapist is Tom. Of course they will adjust to what you want. The men won’t walk on your back, but most of the women probably will at the end of the session. If you’ve had Western massages, these are a little different. Instead of using sheets to cover you, they use a huge white towel. They start by massaging you more lightly through the towel. It takes a bit of time to “prime” your muscles and tendons. They can’t just dive in with full pressure at the beginning. After a little while, they uncover your back and start using oils. Ahhhhhh, sublime. Near the end they leave and return with hot stones and rub them up and down your back for maybe a minute. I love these. They understand English well enough when you tell them and show them which parts of your body hurt, of if you don’t want hot stones, or if you don’t want them to walk on your back. I have had many excellent Western massages in my life. The massages from Natural...
