Stay away from this Orange Theory studio! I would echo the other negative previous review. Poor customer service, false advertising, and poor management practices. I've been double charged by OTF and refused to be reimbursed. The staff here have no idea what they are doing.
I originally joined Orange Theory while I was temporarily residing in CA for a summer internship. I made it very clear to the California studio (Newbury Park) and Chapel Hill-North that I was already a member and wanted to transfer my account to Chapel Hill. Everyone said a transfer wouldn't be a problem, but the studios never talked to each other to make it happen. I assumed that there was no additional action required by me to ensure the transfer went through. A couple of months ago, I noticed my credit card was being charged twice: 1 for OTF Newbury Park and 1 for OTF Chapel Hill-North.
After multiple attempts to get the issue resolved, I found myself in the middle of a three-way finger-pointing match between OTF Corporate, OTF Newbury Park, and OTF Chapel Hill-North. I am ultimately left out of pocket with two months of double charged Orange Theory on my credit card. These people are greedy and blame the customer after misleading them. While I probably should have read the fine print regarding the exact required actions on my part to cancel/transfer a subscription, OTF shouldn't mislead their customers. They agreed to comp me 8 additional workouts that I was required to use before the end of April, but that still doesn't make up for the additional $200 I paid for my OTF membership.
Such poor business practices! OTF, you need to fix your franchise business model so that your studios are cannibalizing each other's sales and ruining the...
Read moreThis is a thorough, efficient, 'go at your own pace' workout which is appropriate for all fitness levels. The workouts are different every day and so are never boring. Involves alternating activities on treadmill and rowing machine (can choose to substitute elliptical machine/strider or stationery bike) and floor exercises including dumbells, trx bands and mat/core work. Modifications to exercises are given by the coach/ trainer to accommodate any orthopedic or other physical limitations participants may have. Can choose between 4, 8 or unlimited classes per month. I have been doing 8 classes a month (2/week) for probably 7 years and plan to continue...
Read moreI had not worked out consistently in over 10 years but since starting at OTF 4 months ago, I am probably in the best shape I've been in years (although I have obviously got more room for improvement!) I love the energy of the classes and the support of the coaches - it's great that they are able to modify the exercises for whatever limitations people may have. No class is ever the same so it's impossible to get bored. I also don't think anything else gives you such a whole body workout. Last but not least, although I don't "know" a lot of the folks at my gym, it's just nice to see familiar faces and experience the comraderie. I am definitely a...
