This place is stunning .The average home here is $750,000 plus with many homes in the millions. The entire island was once owned by multi-millionaire Harry Guggenheim. There are many beautiful parks, hiking and biking trails.The scenic,saltwater Wando River is excellent for boating and hiking and it is located only 15 minutes to Charleston. There are many top restaurants and a Publix supermarket. The houses are beautiful here and very well maintained in this posh, very clean upscale community. Read moreRecently moved here, so now and even the point where I drove here for the first time Daniel Island has been vacation land. People are nice, atmosphere is amazing and there’s tones of outdoor activities to do. There are running/biking/walking trails all over the island, lots of places to eat from seafood to tacos to burgers. Locals drive golf carts everyday and there are several parks for the youngins to play. Homes are very expensive and apartments/condos are hard to come by with the influx of people coming here.
