I hate saying the cliché “if I could give 0 stars I would” but it’s so true in this case. I ordered a mattress from one of their, apparently, many storefronts. It was the second I ordered and after I ordered my husband stated it was too thin so I said ok I’ll cancel. 4.5 HOURS after I ordered I went in search of how to cancel. I had 24 hours to cancel and they will basically “try” to cancel. I clicked one link under their policy that was supposedly to send in a request but got sent to an error page. So I filled out a contact form. Got an auto response and a link to fill out the “cancellation request form” and was hopeful this link would work. So I click the link and just get another contact form. I fill it out selecting 2 different options. A day and a half later get an email that my order is being processed. So I go back to the website to search for anything and find a chat. Started a chat and got a response after a long wait where I’m told it now has to be a return since they don’t work weekends and my cancellation request is outside 24 hours but they’ll “waive the restock fee” but I have to pay shipping. I send a response arguing that it is not my fault they have weekends off, and that is not stated in their cancellation policy that it has to be within business hours, just that it has to be within 24 hours. No response. I send another chat the next day asking them to process the return since I filled out a return request on their website and got the “well email you soon” and I knew they wouldn’t. After almost an hour I get a response and a link to fill out a return request form. That link took me to a different companies return policy and no form. I believe it is another storefront for them so I even put in my email to see if orders show for all companies, nope I had no orders with that company. I immediately message back that the link sends me to a different page with no form and you guessed it, no response. So I disputed the charge with my credit card and I will be denying the package since apparently that’s the only way to return their crap. I will make it my life’s mission to make sure none of my friends and family ever order from this scam...
Read moreOrdered a loft bed with a wrap around desk and shelf on September 6th. After a couple of weeks of not hearing from them, I reached out to Customer Service. No response. I reached out via Facebook and was able to get ahold of their Social Media team. They reached out to Customer Service, who sent a generic "we're sorry, we're overwhelmed and are working to get your order to you ASAP." Another week goes by and I reach out to Customer Service. No response again, so I reached back out to Social Media. I was then sent 2 tracking numbers on October 6th (1 for the loft bed/desk and 1 for the shelf). The tracking number for the shelf updated, but the loft bed/desk did not. After 1 week of no movement, I reached back out again. I was told to "wait another 5 business days and if the tracking doesn't update, I'll get a full refund." It hasn't updated, and no refund. Check out their Max and Lily Facebook page; it's happening to other customers as well. Terrible Customer Service, and never received the item I purchased/paid for. They processed the payment right away without sending anything out. ...

When I reached out I was told that they will sell me replacement parts, despite the damaged parts were evident to them before shipping them out, because I don't have a "proof of purchase" since I am not the original purchaser. Maxwood Furniture's statement on the front of their manuels state, " WE STAND BEHIND OUR PRODUCT 100%. YOUR SATISFACTION IS OUR #1 GOAL. IF YOUR ORDER IS NOT PERFECT, OR IF YOU WOULD LIKE ANY ASSISTANCE, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US. WE ARE HAPPY TO HELP." Their demand for proof of purchase is just an excuse to not resolve their quality control issue. Rather than being concerned about the quality of their product, they make excuses. If you search them on BBB you will see MULTIPLE complaints for the same issue with Maxwood Furniture making all kinds of crazy demands like being shown proof that items are donated in order to repair/replace their DEFECTIVE product.
