I stayed for one night for a concert. Three hours before check-in, I was called to change my room because I accidentally booked a handicap room. I was willing to change. When we arrived no ac in hallways of third floor. Our fridge was broken. We called front desk and they quickly brought us a new fridge that also didn’t work, and that was full of mold. They did offer to hold our food in the cooler however I wanted my food in the room and shouldn’t have to keep my food at front desk. We had to leave for the concert so we couldn’t resolve anything right then and change rooms. The outlets were all broken and exposed wires. The floors were disgusting with grime building up in the corners. The AC unit filters were broken and one was missing. The way that Customer Service is handling this is very poorly. I have asked for compensation from multiple people and management as well as Expedia. The compensation that they’re offering is unacceptable. When speaking to management, he was very short. Being offered another room would have been nice but they are offering $25 refund and never offered for me to change rooms. They did offer points but will not stay at a Hilton again so points are not of use to me. I will say that they did have a nice continental breakfast And the pool area was clean and evening staff and morning staff was kind. Maybe this was just an unlucky experience but I feel like with the money we paid for this room the experience should have been better.

Although the stay was not perfect, it was so far above the next hotel on our trip, I couldn't give it less than 5 stars. Plus, most of the cons were design flaws and not the fault of the staff. Pros: Quiet, the 1-bedroom king suite was large and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, the new sharing of digital keys was so nice. I loved being able to go straight to our room after our long drive. Breakfast was 6-10 every morning, well maintained, with a lot of options, some that change daily. Cons: the toilet made horrible noises each time it was flushed. There was only 1 switch to turn on both the light in the bath and the very bright sink light that was in the bedroom area. There is no way for one person to use the bathroom without the light waking the other person. Even with all of the lights on, the living room/kitchen room seemed dark. Another oddity is with the kitchen area, which includes a sink and microwave, but the small barely cold refrigerator was located under the TV. We didn't report the toilet until we were checking out, and the front desk person made a note for the service people to look at it. We loved the location, quiet and easy to get to different areas, but if you are looking for a location where you can walk to attractions and food, this isn't for you. Room suggestion, our room, 315, faced the front which as quiet and had a nice view. It also was connected to another room if you have a large party or group.

This was the worst hotel stay in all my times of travel. Early check-in was requested and I was told by Katrina I would be accommodated, no extra charges mentioned. I arrived around 2pm and the night clerk tried to charge a whole night, then said half a night because the time was still considered Thursday on Friday based on their system. I waited in the lobby two hours until 4am for their "system" to reflect Friday. He sarcastically asked if I was ready to check in and still tried to charge $50. I told him I spoke with Katrina. He processed the check-in and I paid for the 2-night reservation. The room was sub-par, snacks looked like they had been in someone's pockets for days. Upon attempting to check out at 3:30am I was told I couldn't get a receipt because of their "system". I would not leave without a printed receipt, glad I did not because I noted a $50 charge for early check-in. I did not authorized the charge, and it was not on the charge when I paid upon check-in. Again, I had spoken with Katrina about checking in early because of the timing of my flight arrival. Coming abs going it was an awful experience at this hotel.

We stayed for 7 nights and encountered a number of service and facility issues that significantly impacted our experience.

We had requested a wheelchair-accessible room in advance to accommodate a walker, but upon arrival we were told none were available. It was especially upsetting to find out that another member of our group, who had not requested accessible accommodations, was given one without any issue. This disregard for accessibility needs was both frustrating and unacceptable.

Housekeeping was a serious and ongoing problem. Neither my husband nor I could get our room cleaned despite going to the front desk every single day to request service. We were told it would be taken care of, but nothing was ever done. Our room was only cleaned once during the entire stay. We had to repeatedly ask for clean towels and basic supplies like toilet paper, which were not restocked. At one point, I placed dirty towels outside our door as instructed, and it took two full days for them to be picked up. Another member of our group had the same experience.

The pool area was poorly maintained. It was not cleaned overnight, and pool towels were never stocked in the designated area. We had to go to the front desk each time we needed one, which became frustrating and avoidable.

The breakfast was exactly the same each day with no variety, showing very little effort to provide a quality amenity to guests.

Additional issues included uncomfortably hot hallways, an insufficient number of parking spaces, and overbooking. While in the lobby, I overheard several guests with confirmed reservations being told that no rooms were available for them. That level of mismanagement is simply unacceptable.

While the property has potential, the lack of guest service, the failure to address repeated requests, and the overall disregard for basic hospitality standards made our stay unpleasant. We left feeling disappointed and undervalued, and we do not plan to return or recommend this...

We stayed for three nights in February 2022. The staff was nice enough but the rooms need some work. Our room smelled musty, which wasn't a huge deal since we were on the coast and kind of expect some dampness. The air conditioning in the bedroom did not work well but it worked fine in the living area. The bottom of the sliding door going into the bathroom kept flaking bits of plaster or wood onto the floor which was inconvenient with a crawling infant. I continually had to pick up pieces so that he wouldn't put something in his mouth. The most disappointing thing is we did not have hot water. Our water never got above lukewarm. I couldn't bathe the baby for more than five minutes and I couldn't wash his bottles. Sometimes the water didn't even get to lukewarm. The handle to the bathtub came off in our hands multiple times. We contacted the front desk and they sent maintenance down, but it did not fix anything. The manager on duty came down to the room that night after I told her it still wasn't working (after telling me over the phone that I was wrong because maintenance had been there) and saw for herself that the water wasn't getting hot. The handle even came off in her hand too. She offered to credit my Hilton Honors account with enough points for a free night since she couldn't offer me another room (they were booked solid) and I agreed. However, my account was never credited and when I reached out to customer care, they only offered a quarter of those points and said I would need something in writing from the manager on duty.

It was just a disappointing stay and the care from customer service made it even more disappointing. I doubt we will choose this hotel again when there are so many others in the...

My stay here in Daniel Island was great overall. The area has a waterfront park, restaurants, ferry, walking trail, and gas stations all within 1 mile to the hotel. The hotel sits right off the highway also. The location is 15-20 mins from Charleston and Mt. Pleasant which made great for our trip exploring.

Was able to accommodate early check in with a busy holiday weekend.

Room was average size king, plenty of desk space and bathroom size was nice. The curtains did not provide blackout privacy. My room was on the corner, room window faced the hallway and my window only had the sheer drapery to cover for privacy. The window looked right at other guests waiting at the elevator. Might be something to consider adding different curtains for this room.

The only complaint I truly have was when my room had shower difficulty. Shortly after I arrived, I realized the shower knob was not turning on/not turning off which required maintenance to come twice. When I went to report the second time that there was still an issue, the assistant manager made the call to maintenance and insisted he “come meet the guest to show her how to use the shower”.

Now, if I was having difficulty operating, the customer service notion would be the opposite of shaming me in front of my face. I did not appreciate this staff at all. It was very rude. However, Maintenance staff was very helpful and did resolve the fix for me, which I was appreciative after I thought this would be the start to an...
