Overall, I love this Aldi and have encountered great customer service until today. I guess it's a first time for everything. The manager, I didn't get his name, (spikey hair, older white male), was extremely rude and condescending. I was at self checkout and had $200 worth of groceries. I saw an empty cart at the next register near me so I borrowed the cart to transfer all of my purchases from one cart to the other. As I'm scanning my purchases, transferring them to the other cart, he comes over and starts taking my things out of the cart I was putting my purchases in and began putting them on the floor as he says s "I HATE TO DO THIS TO YOU SWEETHEART BUT I NEED THIS CART!!" I said "Wow, this is really great customer service. By the way, I am not your sweetheart. As a manager, you should know that is a Microaggression and poor customer service." I've never experienced such horrible customer service from any other employee at Aldi's. That manager needs some customer...
Read moreNot only are the employees friendly but it's as if the customers are kinder and more polite while shopping at Aldi. Customers actually say "excuses me", let you pass first and apologize if they cut you off. Staff are helpful in a way that conveys they genuinely want to help! I was nervous the other day about returning an opened tub of margarine that I tasted and just didn't like. I was ready to explain myself but the cashier joyfully took it back, no questions asked, and even told me why he related to my tastes. He even offered to hold my place in line if I wanted to grab butter to ring up. I declined because I needed to shop for several items. When I was leaving he was finishing up with another customer but still bid me goodbye. I was grateful for the opportunity to thank him a second time 🙂 Self checkout at this location and prices are great too! I would gladly shop only at Aldi if I didn't need a few name brand items from...
Read moreMeh is ok here, I dont feel like its well organized as others. (Meaning things are dispersed everywhere and you end up walking around the store 3x each visit). I went with my little one and he wanted some stuffed animals but I said no. I let him keep them in the cart to entertain him while I did shopping. During check out, the cashier was quick but so quick she literally chased the cart that my kid was in to grab the stuffed animals out bc we didn't pay for them. If she would have waited a moment for my little one to get out, I would have handed her the entire cart...bc thats how their process works anyway. Its not that big of a deal but made me feel a little too rushed or like I was going to walk out with it. There wasn't even a huge line bc she had the time to walk the stuffed animals to the back of the store. But maybe I'm just reading too much into it bc I didnt need to be in a rush...
