Wells Fargo Bank — Local services in Charlotte

This branch had the potencial to become "the neighborhood bank" due to its great location, but unfortunately the limited knowledge of some of its members in serving the public, and especially minorities; makes it preferable to visit other Wells Fargo agencies or use other banks. A few days ago I made an appointment to open an account for one of my companies (I'm already a Wells Fargo customer so I thought it would be easy to open an additional account); However, the lady who assisted me denied me the possibility of opening the account with the argument that they should investigate whether the external sign on the building (in my address) coincides with the name of my company, an argument that is not valid and is not supported by any of the statutes of the bank; This argument leaves out the thousands of people who have businesses in their homes, for example, or in rented spaces, and who need to open a bank account for their companies. My company is legally registered with the IRS and the Secretary of State, I even already have a real estate property in its name, so this agency lost a potential good client since I took my business to Truist Bank where they opened the checking account for my company without any problem. Now I will apply for a credit card and a future line of credit with them. This is not the first time I have had problems at this branch; The people who work there do not seem to have a real desire to help customers beyond the minimum courtesy they have with customers. I am sure that this comment will generate an authomatic response from the manager (it is part of his job to respond bad reviews), but by the way he did not take a minute to explain the real reasons for the refusal to open the account. I kindly request that you update the name of this location on Google Maps. This is not a full-service bank branch but rather an ATM location with limited services. While there are a few staff members available who can assist with opening accounts and providing basic support, customers cannot deposit or withdraw cash directly from a teller—only through the ATM.

To avoid confusion and unnecessary travel, especially for those coming from far away, it would be more accurate and helpful to label this location as an “ATM with limited banking support” or something similar. This way, visitors will have a clear understanding of what services are available before arriving and can better plan their visit.

Hi! First I’m not a Wells Fargo account holder! Stopped by to check something out I received from Wells Fargo Auto, and was greeted at the door by Roberta Valle. She was more than happy to help me even though I’m a Bank of America customer! 😃 Roberta went way beyond her duties, and got my questions answered completely!
