Atrium Health Primary Care South End Family Medicine — Local services in Charlotte

DO NOT GO HERE. I went for a general checkup (in network and covered by insurance) and imagine my surprise when a $600+ bill came in the mail.

Turns out Stephen Nix likes to bill a little extra on top. I would avoid seeing him as a care provider as I have lost trust in receiving care from this practice.

Atrium - if you’re going to bill outrageous amounts for basic care maybe you should train your billing department to better explain away the charges. When I spoke with the billing department they could not give a credible reason as to why I was billed that much (insurance denied the claim big surprise there).

Hopefully a complaint to the NC medical board will prevent anyone else from paying outrageous amounts to receive basic care.

Let me start by saying that Alex should have Doctor not nurse practitioner in front of her name. I am so impressed by her ability to explain test results in a way that anyone could understand. I never feel rushed during my appointments as she ensures that all of my concerns are heard an properly addressed.Alex has been such a wonderful physician and I appreciate her so much. I also wanted to state that this is kind of what I call a one stop shop in services for the entire family. I mean that in a great way because it's always hard to get the family to appointments all over the city. I recommend this office to anyone looking for extremely great healthcare.
