Just to be clear, the food and drinks from Suffolk Punch are great, their customer service and event planning is one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

This place has been my new favorite go to spot for weekend brunch and craft beer, I've been coming here for months and the only complaint I've encountered is wait times on getting a table. Problem solved after finding the right times to go. While having brunch one day, my wife and I were party planning my daughters 2nd birthday when we came up with a brilliant idea, have the party at Suffolk Punch! Great food, drinks and plenty of space for guests. We inquired about it with our server and the hostess came by with their event planners information. The server and hostess showed us a great spot on the outside patio where we could have the party which sounded great until it became such a hassle trying to get ahold of their event planner. We sent multiple emails and called multiple times but she was never around. We were given the run around every time we followed up on an email to check our spam folder. FINALLY got ahold of their event planner a week before our planned party and was told she is no longer in that role and was not aware the staff was still giving out her name and information. When I asked for whoever the new event planner was, I was told they have not fulfilled that role yet. I was told a manager would reach out to me to help reserve a table, that call never came through. Luckily we had a plan B because no one from Suffolk Punch ever got back to us.

Revised review on 3/17/2019...

Spoke with the owner, he explained the event planner issue with me and understood my frustration and concern. He made things right and offered extraordinary hospitality during my next visit. I was very pleased and looking forward to my next visit to...

I heard really good things about this place after it opened, so I scheduled a happy hour here.

Walking in, I immediately loved the decor. All of the plants are my favorite part. It was nice out so we sat on the patio.

They have a really large drink selection from their own beers, to other craft beer, to ciders, to cocktails. I had a cocktail and some ciders and they were all really good.

I ordered some small plates: the Pimiento cheese, the beet stained deviled eggs, and the tuna crudo. I enjoyed all of them, but they were a little expensive for the portion sizes you got.

My experience was pretty good until it started to get dark and cold outside and we tried to go inside. They wouldn't let us sit inside unless we ordered an entree. Given that we had already eaten and were trying to enjoy the brewery, this was very frustrating. I get that it's also a restaurant, but the fact that there is no way to enjoy the brewery without being outside is ridiculous.

We convinced someone to order an entree and the service inside want very good. The burger want cooked as ordered and the service was slow. The food is also pretty expensive.

I've avoided going here for happy hours since then because I don't want to be forced to sit outside if I don't want to eat. I think this is a pretty big problem they need to solve if they don't want to be a restaurant...

I would not return based on the lack of cleanliness I observed on my recent visit. I was seated near the kitchen and had a perfect view of the area food is picked up from and delivered to tables. I observed a few of the women playing with/adjusting their hair and then grabbing plates to deliver it to tables. I observed one man that took his hat off adjusted it and put it back on right over the food holding area. These individuals did not wash or sanitize at all. The servers are responsible for adding fries that are held in a bowl to the plates. Because of their lack of cleanliness this was not well received. My food was just ok. My fries were overcooked and just warm. My burger appeared to have unknown particles, thinner than hair so I don’t think that’s what is was. My friend described her French toast muffin as very bad and something they should rework. It completely fell apart and was very soggy. Our server was nice but the hostess instructed us to wait at the to go ordering area. When someone came he told us to go to the hostess stand. She then said she thought we were ordering to go, not sure why she assumed that or at the least just asked. The best part was the cold brew cocktails, they were very good but would not make me return. Glad I...

We were there early so we did not try the food. However, we had the opportunity to try the Nitro coffee (not for me), and had in-house coffee made for us. The brewista did a nice job at designing the coffees and they were flavorful. However, they were just not warm enough. We had the opportunity to also try some beers. The beers were very smooth, light and tasteful. The four stars are for the beers. However, working in this industry before, I find it tacky and distasteful when the owners-managers stand around and talk about their employees in front of customers. I also find it disappointing when they don't care to engage more with the customers than they do with each other. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and very well designed. But I would focus more on customer service, especially when the brewmaster is out and about and that's a great opportunity to engage with the customers who are trying his craft. Without customers you don't have a business. I would suggest focusing more on customers than each other. I would also suggest giving descriptions on your beer menu. Therefore, not asking customers to rely on the service of your employees when they are not readily available.
