I called for an appointment on Saturday and thank God they had an opening and were able to accept me that afternoon. Yama was polite and straight to the point , she told me that they would be available at 3 pm and when I arrived 10 min early , MY magnificent stylist Benta was finishing right up and was able to start on my hair almost immediately. It only took about three to four hours to do my medium sized box braids , minus the few minutes it took to blow out my very natural kinky curly hair . I am pregnant and they accommodated me in any way they could with water and even made sure the air was to my liking . One stylist (Benta) did my hair the whole time. Today my hair care services were provided by Bex African Hair Braiding!!! I actually located her online after having called 8 other different stylists, 4 of them I spoke to and it was just something funny going on about their business, the other 4 never returned the call I have never dealt with any of these stylust before yet they say they're in business. Once I spoke with Bex, immediately my questions were answered prior to the appointment and I was not disappointed after the finish. I decided to stop using relaxers and heat for a while and go with braiding. I am confident in saying that Yama is the best Braider in Charlotte, NC. Not only is she an excellent Braider, but she also believes in healthy hair. You don’t have to worry about your edges falling out or hair being too tight with her. She knows her stuff and can style like no other. I have knotless braids that look exactly like box braids; no big spaces, full and long. The biggest benefit is that my hair has grown from a low cut (almost bald) to bra strap length since coming to Yama.
