We are originally from the 716 area so we were excited to try some food from back home. Here is my take on this establishment.
When we first pulled up we noticed it was in an area where we would not have to look for parking. The parking selection was great especially when you are use to having to drop someone off at the door and go find parking lol. Upon entering, it would be considered a small waiting area where you pretty much order your food and move out the way and wait in your car or outside until it's done. They have about 2 tables with 3 chairs each. While others may seem like it's small again..being from the 716 area it was pretty much what we are use too. The customer services was phenomenal!!! It was alot going on with people ordering food and picking up food but it was not unorganized, chaotic or unprofessional.
We ordered chicken finger subs, honey garlic chicken wings, loaded steak fries, waffle fries and steak tacos. The wait time was a typical 35 minutes or more. I'm more of a try it when you get it person so before we left the parking lot I tried 1 wing which turned into me eating 5. Listen.... everyone cant make honey garlic wings ESPECIALLY in Charlotte but babbyyyy these wings were so good!!! Right crispness and flavor with sauce. The food was still hot when we made it home (about 35 minutes away) I did not get a chance to take any photos because as soon as it hit the kitchen everyone grabbed their food and started eating. The chicken finger subs were perfect. The bread was toasted very good not soggy and the chicken fingers were cooked to perfection tossed with mild buffalo sauce. The steak in the tacos was cut up perfectly and cooked evenly with no burnt meat. The loaded steak fries was the same way. The only thing I would recommend with the fries is using shredded cheese but my daughter could care less what cheese was used, she said they were the best. The large waffle fries selection was honestly more than we expected and most importantly they had blue cheese and not just any kind Ken's blue cheese.
Overall we spent over $90 but that was for a family of 4. We thought we would spend more, again coming from Buffalo where a small sub is $12 and large is $18. If you are looking for an establishment that reminds you of back home or want food from Buffalo this is definitely the place to be. Although we cant say everything is great as we only ate a selection of items, what I can say is we will be...
Read moreDisappointed. I really looked at their Instagram and thought I'd get what I saw - philly cheesesteak and some honey cajun tenders. I even showed the guy their own post. He told me what the order was in the video. I said, I want that. Dude puts the order in. 20 min wait, no problem. In my mind, it's worth the wait. Everything bagged up, I grab and go.
I get home ready to tear into it. Noticed the philly cheesesteak kinda skinny, real skinny. Ok. Crack open the styrofoam container for thise honey cajun tenders.. DRY. Nothing cajun in theren just honey.
I unwrap the philly cheesesteak.. looks like long hot dog bun, the kind they put sausage in. Smaller than that even. I coukd wrap my fingers around it and still leave room and I have small hands. Then, wheres the onions and peppers? I found a tiny diced onion. I think I saw ONE spec, smaller than diced, of green pepper.
To be fair.. cheesesteak was flavorful just tiny. The tenders were decent and crunchy but barely any sauce. I can tell they didnt sauce/toss them in a bowl at all. Just threw them in there and drizzled honey on top. Still not sure where the Cajun went but it wasnt with the honey as if they never met.
I did get a strawberry crunch dessert that was pretty good.
I'm sorry I didnt take pics. I shot two short videos on...
Read moreI ordered the sausage dog combo with crinkle cut fries and a "house" pink lemonade (which I had to pay an extra $2 for on top of the combo price). Also ordered 6 honey mustard wings (had to pay an extra $2 for all flats) and when my husband picked up the food he added some strawberry cheesecake bites. EVERYTHING was a disappointment!! A sausage dog is supposed to be juicy when you bite into it. These are hard and I don't even think it's because they were overcooked. It just seems like bad quality meat. I ate a few bites of one and shoved them to the side. Some of the fries weren't fully cooked through. The wings were old and you can tell they were just refried/dropped in grease again. The sauce was okay. The "house" pink lemonade was only Country Time and came in a smaller bottle so don't waste your money on that, especially for how overpriced they make it. And my husband said the cheesecake bites were gritty. He didn't touch them after trying one. We spent $36 on food that mainly went in the trash. Mind you, I placed this order a lil before 10pm and they closed at 1am, so no excuse. I'm really disturbed at how overpriced they are more than anything. I'd at least be ok with that if the food was top tier, but they are far from it. Find somewhere else to go. I...
