Well this use to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants to place to go orders because of the prices and food (not service). Not to mention they’d offer either chips and salsa or a bean soup with every to go order. I typically didn’t like dining in here because the service was slow and during the weekends it can get too rowdy here. However, I placed a to-go here after a few years of not coming to this establishment…
I walked in to two waitresses sitting down and gossiping on the bench. Neither of them greeted me but instead one looked at me with an irritated look on her face and said “you placed a to-go order? What’s the name?” Mind you the lady who took my order in the phone never asked for my name so I had to explain what I was picking up. A waitress from the back came out and rang me up and this whole time the two waitresses on the bench were still on the bench that’s right in front of the payment window so I felt as if I was disturbing them since I had to stand in front of them.
I paid almost $15 for an order of chicken sopes & a side of rice (which use to cost me about $10). The part that took me off guard was that they no longer give chips and salsa for their takeout orders! You’re already paying higher prices for their food, you have to deal with their attitude, drive around all the potholes in their parking lot, and deal with random people that hang out outside this business, & they can’t even give you what every other Mexican restaurant gives which is complimentary chips and salsa…
This definitely will be my last time coming to this establishment. There are TOO many Mexican restaurants I can go to where I don’t have to deal with all the extra, still get delicious food, great customer service, &...
Read moreIndeed good food, but awful service... if their people is slow during the week, don't get your hopes so high that will be any different on the weekend. They have the staff to take care of the place, but if management is conform by the relatives of the owner with no common sense about customer service what you expect from the waitresses that any little chance they get they gather to chat.... I don't go that often because that.... one time we order tacos... 3 or 4 different waitresses taking care of the order and they brought the salsas after we already finished the food.... Another occasion waiting to be seated the manager just came back to me, that the only thing available was the bar i said no thanks I'll wait.... he sit a cople that came in after me and told me that he didn't have any seats. .... Instead of trying to bull sheet me with " as soonest something gets available " or something of that sort of thing. .... No, just a flat there is not more sits..... I left thinking I'll never come back, again just like other customers (they've a good cook). Is why some people comes back... Tonight, ups i did it again.... They didn't have coke..... we choose sprite instead and it was carbonated water.... then offer something else... and 15 minutes later... sorry we ran out of that too.... The family next to us waited for a while and when finally the food arrive, guess what. ... yes was the wrong thing..... I ask for napkins. ... came back with 3... ok we were 3 people but 2 were minors..... Anyways.... hope that after finally waste my time with this rewiew, I'll remember not to come back... or somebody else avoid the hustle to eat at...
Read moreI can't give more than 2 stars because of my service. Our waitress Erika needs some customer service training. I had the chili Rellenos Dinner. My husband and his friend ordered the Dos Potrillos. This plate comes with 2 fried eggs. The waitress asked them if they wanted the eggs fried hard. My husband said it didn't matter to him but his friend said no. Our tirtillas came to the table 10 minutes before our actual food. So none of us ate tortillas since they were already cold by the time our food arrived. On Both plates the eggs were fried hard. The salsa on the friends was too spicy for his liking. He is from Venezuela and spicy is not what he eats normally. So we asked the waitress if she could get him one without salsa. She reluctantly agreed after telling us that there would be a charge. I don't care about the charge for an egg. I just wanted our friend to eat and enjoy his lunch. Well she brought it long after he had finished his meal. He asked for another Agua de Tamirindo and she asked me if I was ready for my Agua de Sandia. I said yes. She brings his but never brings mine. We will never be back just because of...
