Extremely Disappointed with Unprofessional Service
I am compelled to share my disheartening experience with [We Save Data], which has left me frustrated and utterly dissatisfied. In October 2023, I entrusted them with my malfunctioning external hard drive, under the impression that it could be fixed. Little did I know that this decision would lead to months of frustration and disappointment.
Despite being informed that the hard drive required the expertise of a third party, I patiently agreed. Fast forward to almost February 1st, 2024, and I am still without my drive. The lack of proactive communication from [We Save Data] has forced me to reach out to them bi-weekly just to glean minimal information about the status of my device.
Initially, I was given hope when they assured me that my data was salvageable and would be transferred to a new drive. However, my optimism was shattered when, after weeks of waiting, I was informed that my music, comprising 500 GB, was irretrievable. The question that haunts me is: What were they doing with my drive all this time if they could not salvage my data?
What adds insult to injury is the vast difference in cost estimation. While another establishment quoted nearly $2,000 for the repair, [We Save Data] claimed they could do it for $700. In hindsight, this should have raised a red flag, and I am relieved I did not part with any money.
It is beyond comprehension why [We Save Data] would lead me on for months, assuring me that the issue was fixable when, evidently, it was not within their capabilities. If they were aware that my case was beyond their expertise, why sell me false hope?
In all honesty, if there were an option to rate them 0/5, I would without hesitation. My experience with [We Save Data] has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly caution anyone considering their services to think twice before entrusting them with...
   Read moreThis place is EXCELLENT!!!! I went here a few weeks ago due to the charging port on my phone no longer working and needing to be replaced. Michael quoted me a VERY affordable price, which I was very appreciative of, and had my phone fixed and running again like new in no time -- I believe in less than an hour, maybe even a half hour!! Also, as if the service couldn't possibly get any better, I'd asked about the sound when on a call -- I'd notice it had gotten pretty low, even when at full volume. Michael said he had a feeling what might help -- cleaning out any build up around that area while he's replacing the charge port -- and he would do that at no extra charge!!
Since then, my phone has been charging wonderfully like it once did, and I believe the call sound has also improved!! But just the fact that he did what he can for it without charging me more says a lot.
Lastly, because he was so nice, friendly, and seemingly very knowledgeable and willing to freely share his knowledge about cellphones, I asked him some advice on what kind of charger it'd be best for me to buy and use. He gave some insight and made a recommendation of what kind to get and why -- the different kinds known to work and last better than others. Another awesome, very helpful aspect to the whole experience. đ
At the end, I happily tipped him for such an excellent customer service experience, and I will definitely be back (hopefully no time soon... but some years from now whenever again I...
   Read moreReviews could be deceitful. I went seeing 4.9* reviews. I wish I had seen 1* reviews. I had a horrible experience repairing my laptop cover latch which worsened after repair with camera hardware broken, outside cover replaced without a need probably the original one was broken too and cover no more opening 180 degrees. All that after paying $110 (originally quoted $135+tax but he knew what he had done to the laptop). This is not all. A lot of lies and stories during all this. I first paid a token of $50 on 6 Dec and was told we do it all the time and would be done between 11-16 Dec. Called back on 19 Dec when not heard back then every other day and was told my ordered parts were sent to Canada. When finally called on 5 January, I was told that parts came half an hour before after ordering them thrice and to bring laptop for repair. I was given the laptop same evening after repairing (actually breaking it more). I waited a month to get my laptop broken more and pay for that.
One star for answering calls every time I called or for call back whenever it was missed but that could be a trap to make you believe. Below photos are after repairs. It was in much better shape before so called 'repairs'. I wish I understood something fishy when I was said the brand new cover has been put but I can join the dots now why I was offered a replacement laptop of lower model...
