Updated Info for March 2024: AT&T Weirdos need to stop approaching customers in the BOOK & SPORTING GOODS SECTION, they can’t be reasonable & say hey as people walk past the spot they’re supposed to stand in ELECTRONICS. They’re already annoying there, but to have some dude come up to you while you’re just trying to read book synopses & pick one (after you purposely walked through the food section to avoid them) is crazy, & he really went on to Sporting Goods & bothered people in that section when he got pissed at me. Employees that do this are either Target or third party employees, not actual AT&T employees, so the behavior of the guy working today is on the store. The younger guy working today 3/17/24 needs some common sense training on rejection because I told him twice I wasn’t interested while he continued his script, so I said I just wanted to pick a book without being harassed. He did not like that & immediately got a defensive attitude & said “It’s not harassment,” just wanting to argue & continue the convo as he’s already walking to his next prey in Sporting Goods lol, just teach this guy to take “no” for an answer for the first time & to stay in his area. I responded that it’s solicitation & he has a bad attitude, but he already knows that & seems to be proud of the pushiness. Very off-putting & doesn’t make me want to shop here anymore. Ya’ll need to realize some people avoid that area & don’t want to be solicited while they’re already giving your store their money. This store is already falling apart & has been since before the renovation. The makeup section stays half empty & the boxes that are there of product are all empty from the constant theft, it’s a joke honestly. I usually just make the trip to the Afton Ridge or Huntersville location & should’ve today, you won’t deal with a disaster zone like this place.
Prior review info during renovation: This store needs adult/above 16yo associates at the brand new Starbucks. It’s a Saturday night & Target is very busy but not staffed accordingly. My husband & I waited in line behind 2 other couples tonight & it took 30 minutes to get up to place our drink order, this was around 5PM. There were 2 teen baristas running the store and instead of keeping orders going with 1 on the register and 1 making drinks, they were taking orders together/showing each other how to use the register then pausing to go make drinks together. I worked at Starbucks for several years & know that’s not the workflow or standard, at least at non-licensed locations. Edited to add general feedback beyond the Starbucks: Now that your renovations are over & we’ve seen the setup change from necessities at the front like cleaning, pet, & home supplies to lotion & makeup up front, necessities in the back, we’ll be doing business at another location that’s more convenient & feels like air conditioning is on &...
Read moreTL;DR This Target has poor customer service. If you can, go somewhere else. If you have to go here, be prepared for a frustrating experience.
Everything is locked up. Even things that were on a normal shelf last week are now behind glass here. Had to wait 10 minutes for someone to unlock the case. (not exaggerating. I literally timed it.) I understand that this is the direction retailers are going, but if your store feels the need to go in that direction, then you need to have someone available to unlock the case.
I shouldn't have to ring a bell multiple times with no response, and then be forced to hunt someone down, only to have them tell me that they need to find somebody else with the key.
To make matters worse, there was one cashier open for the entire store. This forces me to use self checkout. As I finished scanning my items and began to pay, the staff member who was very polite, asked me rescan my items individually because i scanned the same item 5x instead of separately and it would create problems with their inventory.
It's bad enough that I am treated like a criminal and forced to waste time waiting for someone to unlock a case for one simple item. It's even worse that i have to check out my own items only to be criticized for the way I am doing it.
If Target has issues with the way customers are using the self check out, they should provide...
Read moreI was pleased with my experience from the very beginning. I like ordering online what I want, right-then and there with no waiting for shipping, etc., and to quickly pick-up items ordered at whatever nearby company's store has the item available, in-stock. The site was accurate and listed just two units in the color I wanted left. The two items were not in stock at my local Target but at another nearby Target. The online experience in ordering was smooth (although I wish there were a way to order as a Guest!). The Target site smootly linked me to the appropriate map/directions to the pick-up store. Upon arrival at Target (I believe it is store #1081) at 8120 University City Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28213, I was pleased because before I even got in the store a Target team-member encountered me in the parking lot entry. I needed a cart for the pick-up and the team member offered me a (sanitized) cart. Never having been to this store before, I walked straight-in where two team members greeted me and directed me straight to the online pick-counter. Smooth and swift service was given to me by the team at the pick-up counter. So much so, that I went on to shop and purchase in the store for gift bags and gift cards for the online ordered items I'd picked-up...
